Ordered a sub- combo- they offered on phone and said it comes with ff& drink. But they don’t tell u to get it on way out…. So I had to go back and ask about drink. I also asked for xtra cheese on sandwich. Cheese steak did NOT have xtra cheese and sandwich was soggy- only ten min after picking up. Very disappointed for my 1st experience.

I just picked up a Steak and Cheese sub from A-1. The whole sub totaled $19+ which is pretty steep; however, I was willing to pay for what I had asked for.
I get home, pop open the container and see two pretty well put together half subs. I took a bit and was totally turned off. I tried a few more bites and actually had to disassemble the sandwich and cook it over.
The steak was bland, the bread was cold and had not been toasted or heated for a hot sandwich, so the bread was soggy and the sandwich lacked any real flavor.
I ended up pan toasting the bread, reheating the meat trying to doctor it up.
For $20 to just get a sandwich is steep (especially when you can get a pretty good combo for $15 elsewhere) but $20 for a poorly made and disappointing sandwich is MUCH worse. (I honestly shouldnt have had to pay for food that was so bad that i had to cook it over.)
anyway. Go for the drinks next door. Not for the food.

IN RESPONSE TO OWNER COMMENT: Wow, I'm literally shocked by your response. You own a restaurant business and think that a paying customer would go out of their way to fake a picture by moving food on a sandwich just to make it look bad?!? What would I have to benefit from doing something that? I'm upset that I paid over $15 for a sub with only meat on half of it, which is why I posted a negative review. And your response to my review and the poor service by your employees is to accuse me of faking a picture just so that I could post a negative review? I think I understand now why someone at your restaurant would think it's fine to serve a sub with only half meat on it, based on your immature and rude response. This is now truly the worse service I've received anywhere that I've purchased food from. Congratulations. I'm just glad that your response to my review is public for everyone to see.
Avoid the cheesesteak subs, unless you don't mind an 8" sub with only meat on half of the sub (see pic). I just picked up a carry-out order from here and there was only cheesesteak on about 60% of the sub. This was the first time I've been back to this place in years, and it used to be good years ago. But apparently the quality has gone down hill since. The food is also priced higher than other nearby places (Ledo Pizza cheesesteak is cheaper and better). Definitely won't be returning here again.

I ordered delivery this evening of 2 large pizzas, fries, and mozzerella sticks. We order from A1 atleast once a month. Tonight's order we could tell they changed their dough/crust and cheese. It was awful. If you like a thin crust this may be for you, very hard and crunchy. The fries and mozzerella sticks were ok.

This place is definitely a gem.. Had this place 3 times in a row and it’s 3 for 3. The consistency and quality of the food is mind blowing. Specifically the subs, they are made to order. I had the steak sub, chicken cheese steak, and the cheeseburger sub. Not to mention, I’m not a French fry person, but dang they are good with the cheese. All “A-1” like their name. I’m an extreme foodie and like to eat. I like to critique and give my honest feedback on all the places I eat at. A-1 got it going on from the door to the floor!!!!!

Been our normal go to sub place, but was a little disappointed with the timing tonight. Think they're busy providing food for the joining restaurant On the Rocks, had to wait over 30 mins after a normal dinner rush time. Food was still hot and delicious, we usually do carryout. Will keep coming!

Delivery was fast (about 40 min as expected), fries were cold and soggy, I got plain fries instead of gravy fries I order. Everything over all lacked flavor. I ordered solely on pregnancy cravings - greek salad many of the vegetables were not fresh (mushy, no flavor) dressing was 90% oil and didn’t really have vinegar or flavor. The feta cheese was good. White Pizza was good but cold/dry either it didn’t have much sauce to begin with or it was sitting for a bit before being delivered and the vegetables were essentially raw/uncooked. They were probably busy tonight so it’s fine, but this was my first time ordering so pretty disappointed for having spent $50 total (including tip - not the drivers fault).
