I’ve been going to Ellie’s Place for a while now, and it’s always been one of those rare spots where you instantly feel comfortable and welcome. From the moment you walk in, there’s a laid-back, friendly energy that makes it easy to relax and enjoy yourself—whether you’re with friends or just stopping in solo after a long day. The staff has always been kind, attentive, and down-to-earth. You never feel rushed or like just another customer. They take the time to remember your name, your order, your favorite seat at the bar. That’s something special.
The environment is what really set Ellie’s Place apart for me. Whether you came in for a casual drink, to catch a game, or to hang out with coworkers, it always struck the perfect balance of lively and easygoing. You could come as you are and be treated with genuine kindness and warmth.
One thing I always appreciated was their music system that allowed customers to pay to pick the songs playing in the bar. It added a fun, personal touch to every visit. My coworkers and I always loved adding our favorite songs to the queue—it made the experience even more enjoyable. On top of that, Ellie’s Place regularly hosted live music and special events, which brought in such a fun crowd and gave the place even more personality. They knew how to keep things fresh and exciting while still feeling familiar and welcoming.
I’m especially grateful for how Ellie’s Place supported local events and causes. I saw firsthand how they opened their doors to community fundraisers and gave space for people and organizations to come together. You could tell that it wasn’t just about business—it was about being part of something bigger. That’s the kind of place you want to keep supporting.
It’s honestly heartbreaking to hear that they’re closing their current location. It feels like losing a cornerstone of the community. Ellie’s Place was more than just a bar or restaurant—it was a space that brought people together. A place where memories were made, friendships formed, and laughter always echoed.
That being said, I truly hope this is just a “see you later” and not a goodbye. I’ll be keeping an eye out for updates and can’t wait to support them again wherever they go next. I have no doubt that wherever Ellie’s Place reopens, they’ll bring that same heart, same charm, and same incredible energy that made their original spot so beloved.

I dined in. If it weren't that this place has a bar they would be out of business. They charged 15.00 for a cheeseburger meal combo the size of a happy meal. The burger was burnt. The atmosphere was okay if you are a tavern type of person. Otherwise I don't recommend this place.

Firstly, the counters and windowsills are excessively dirty and dusty, necessitating immediate cleaning. Furthermore, the floors are in a similarly unsatisfactory condition they need to be swept. I would also like to highlight the behavior of a food handler named Dany. She was wearing a crop top that exposed her midriff while handling food without gloves. It is essential that she wears a shirt to cover her midriff or an apron to prevent potential injuries while working near deep fryers. I observed her touching her sweaty neck, belly, and face, and then proceeding to handle the food she was preparing without washing her hands or wearing gloves. Additionally, she forgot to include some items in our order, which required us to return to retrieve them. We enjoyed visiting this establishment for lunch several times a month; however, our experience today has prompted us to consider alternative options.

We went to Ellie's Place on Thursday night to play Trivia and had a ball! The severs were so friendly and hospitable, and explained everything to us since it was our first time there. The Trivia host was great, we told him it was our first time to play Trivia there and he took the time to explain the game to out, shout out to Charm City Trivia! And the food, wow! We had the wings and winder fries and there were delicious. We are definitely going back, there were about 10 things I wanted to try on the menu. We had a wonderful date night!!!
I only got takeout but the three people working in the window were very kind. I had never been there before and they were very patient with my indecisive self.
