Permanently closing end of summer 2023.Service was slow, kitchen was even slower. Appetizer muscles took 20 minutes and food took another 30 minutes. When it came out, one slider sandwich was hot while the french fries and other slider sandwich were cold.I will say there Ouzo mussels were delicious and had nice pieces of feta, onion, tomato, and a rich broth.
Went on a Saturday evening for dinner. The atmosphere was fun and positive - karaoke was in full swing and folks of all ages were having a nice good time. Bison Burger and Chicken Gyro were a solid 4 out of 5. Of note, there is an active bar with its own lively crowd too!
Restaurant has been sold and is closing in the near future. We were a group of 14 senior citizens from a swim class. We were seated in the bar next to an active billiards table, so a bit noisy. Restaurant appeared to be short staffed, so service was slow but waitress did an outstanding job and provided separate checks. Food was wonderful and my crab cake was top notch, as always. I will miss this place when it closes.
The food was good, the waitress was very nice. The hostess with the long braids never greeted us, didn't smile, just asked how many? Every time we come in and she's working, she acts the same way. It's not an instance of her having a bad night. It's Every time we come in and she's working. She's just not pleasant and seems like she doesn't like her job. I observed her when other customers came in and she never changed her attitude. Everyone else who works there is very nice.
A friend invited me to try this place. It being a Greek restaurant, I had the Souvlaki. Sorry to say, it was terrible. The chicken was like rubber and had no flavor. I should have sent it back. The saving grace was that the server was great and so was the atmosphere. Right before we left, the staff played the Star Spangled Banner. I was very impressedby by this. Not sure I'll return, but if I do, I'll try the crab cakes.
As always good crab cake and service. Normally I skip the bun and just get a crab cake which is what I’d advise. The bun is just ok and gets in the way of the crab cake. My kid said the Souvlaki was really good.
Prefer to eat in Hella's lounge, albeit is in need of remodeling {modernizing}. Food is always good and with impressive portions. Service is also always great! Scuttlebutt has it they may be shutting down. Hope not as they're like a historic icon around here. If they do, they will not be forgotten.
When that same softball sized lump crab cake sammich ($29) comes out with those crispy Greek fries...??Been coming here since the 90's! The prices are still reasonable and right. And the food hasn't changed in portion sizes, flavor, and quality. That's when you know it's that good!
Food was good, however kitchen was slow getting the food out, choice of overhead music seemed out of place and overly loud at times. The server was pleasant, helpful and checked back often. If you choose this restaurant allow for plenty of time for your meal, then enjoy the good food!
Great place to eat and have a few beers at happy hour in particular. Friendly service, great food and pool tables. Also karaoke Wednesday and Saturday nights. Highly recommend.

Food was excellent myself and my parents went. The wait wasn't long our server was a really great gentleman. Atmosphere was kinda loud and kids running through the dinning area but all in all it was worth the money.
Wheelchair accessibility: Need better doors for handicapped
My mom, former neighbor, and I, like to come here for lunch from time to time. The pickle chips appetizer is our favorite, but it hasn’t been offered for quite some time. The mozzarella sticks are great as well. I’m not a fan of red sauce but their dipping marinara is delicious. I’ve tried a variety of their daily soups: cream of crab, loaded baked potato, chicken noodle, and navy bean and ham. All were piping hot and tasty. We usually stick to sandwiches for lunch, but do branch out to other items occasionally. The Rueben sandwich and the turkey club is my favorite. My mom and neighbor loves the steak and cheese subs and the steak house sliders. They have the best fries! We usually have Nikole or Rebecca as our server. Both are fantastic and always remember us when we come in. We enjoy their daily specials menu. Their menu has a wide variety of food, so there’s really something for everyone.
Greek food, probably the best I've had. The service was impressive. They never let our drinks go empty and never let an empty dish stay on the table. Food didn't take long to be served. The quality of the food was near perfection. Price is reasonable. I'll definitely recommend this place, and they definitely will be seeing me soon.
The moussaka here is heavenly if you order it with the tzatziki sauce. This is my second time ordering moussaka at Hella’s. They bake it fresh daily, layering it with eggplant, zucchini, etc. We all found our moussaka, dolmades, and spanakopita to be a bit dry. We thought our food might have spent too much time under a warming lamp. The tzatziki negated the dryness of the moussaka, making a nice accompaniment. My dining partner also thought the crab dip had a little to much Old Bay. My baked potato, however, was cooked perfectly. The table service here was friendly and professional. The bathrooms here were clean. This is also a great place to play a round of billiards, as they boast a couple of pool tables.
My only issue was the size of the lemon marscopone cake. It was too small considering the size of the cherry cheesecake.
