Miss Shirley's Cafe, BWI Airport

Waitress was very entitled. Wr ended up leaving and going to another place. Hope they hire folks who want to work.

Well it took almost 45 minutes from the time I ordered until food came out and it was a cup of soup if that tells you anything about how slow things are here.

Zero stars. Stopped serving two hours before listed closing time.

If you’re Black, don’t spend your money here. Could’ve sworn this was a Black Owned business but instead it’s really Cracker Barrel. Me and my family waited 10 minutes for an available table, there was no hostess, and only two servers. The pregnant server was kind so I’m more sensitive to her disposition but the dark haired woman didn’t even try to help her. I understand the restaurant can be busy at an airport but common courtesy and decency is expected always and for everybody. Sad… this was my first experience of this restaurant chain and I will never be spending my money here.

The manger, Chris, wasn’t available for my complaint. Hope he finds it here.

Let me start this by saying the bartender on 8/5 between 1:30pm and 2:45PM was AMAZING, and our food was tasty. The rest of the experience was not.

The woman in front of us waited 15 minutes for someone to appear at the podium to be seated. She recently had a knee replacement and couldn't sit at the bar. We were lucky to have seats open up after a 5 minute wait and took those since those were self seating.

Drinks and ordering were great... Because our bartender controlled that. Unfortunately, 25 minutes after ordering she came back to apologize and let me know the kitchen was out of salmon. She had gone to the kitchen to check on our order, and there was no one there. She started to make my salad for me and discovered there was no salmon.

It took an hour to get our food (with a chicken substitution). Once it arrived it was good. We ate very quickly, as by that point our flight was boarding in 10 minutes.

The table servers looked like they were just wandering around the restaurant trying to keep patrons happy. Someone get the front of house some support.

Dietary restrictions: Our bartender asked every single guest if they had food allergies. She was fantastic.

I can't comment on the food because the unfriendly waitress asked me what I would like, and then everything I would say an item she would tell me that they are out of that item. I tired this 5 times and then finally gave up and left. I don't think she wanted any more tables.

Its an airport restaurant. That being said the food is outstanding even if the rest is lackluster. Fried green tomatoes are to die for

Bagel with salmon, cheese, onions and ayers with a coffee. Quick service and with a smile. Airport pricy... ouch!

We were at the airport and waiting for 15 minutes for a table. No one would even make eye contact with us. They just kept passing us by so we eventually walked away which I’m sure is what they wanted.

I feel like she was the best bartender that you could ever have at BWI airport and I’ve been to all of them. Excellent service. She made one of the best Long Islands that I have ever had. But when I need a drink, I also need to eat and the food was just not good. The grits tasted like old rice that was burned. The burger had nothing special going on. It was a frozen patty that was dry. Note that I requested only lettuce and cheese, but was served with everything. Please go here for drinks But make sure you get your food from somewhere else. Look forward to more.Taste to Takiya ?
