From the moment I walked in, the staff set the tone for an exceptional visit. Warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, they took the time to walk me through the menu, highlighting options and dipping sauces that added an extra layer of excitement to the experience. I opted for the Chicken & Chips, paired with a tangy Dijon mayonnaise dipping sauce and a refreshingly crisp fresh lemonade. While the restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, I highly recommend sitting outside — you’ll be right next to a playful waterfall that adds a vibrant, relaxing ambiance to your meal. When my order was ready, I was greeted again by a cheerful team member who confirmed everything and pointed out where to find extra condiments. The aroma alone was mouthwatering. The dish arrived with three perfectly golden pieces of chicken nestled atop a generous bed of thick-cut fries — or “chips,” as the Brits would say. The chicken was a standout: light, crisp, and airy on the outside, giving way to tender, juicy white meat within. The coating was flavorful without overpowering the chicken itself — a masterful balance of texture and taste. The chips were just as impressive — crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy like mashed potatoes on the inside. Each bite was elevated by the accompanying sauces, which were generously portioned and versatile enough to complement both the chicken and the chips. This wasn’t just a meal — it was an experience. Delicious, well-executed comfort food with a gourmet twist, served with top-tier hospitality in a lively setting. The price point was fair and absolutely worth it for the quality of both the food and service. “I genuinely can’t say enough good things about this place. I’m a local and for whatever reason hadn’t visited Queen Vic before yesterday, but a friend and I decided to drop in for a couple beers and a snack. Little did we know the level of hospitality we would receive. Matt is so kind and immediately treated us like family. The bar was busy but we felt taken care of and happy the entire time. Also doesn’t hurt that the food and drinks are amazing (do yourself a favor and order the donuts - you won’t regret it)! Going to be one of my new favorite spots 😊“

“I was completely surprised when I first came to the location but later left feeling great about the service and food received! Was looking for one near a location and this one came up! The customer service was great and the food was tasty! When they ask if you want seasoning on top, Say yes and get extra! Game Changer!!!“

“I ordered the Whiting fish meal with two sides ; the two sides being collard greens and macaroni and cheese with a Large Tea/Lemonade ? mix and banana pudding; the banana pudding had no bananas in it, just the pudding and soggy wafer cookies ( not grandma's recipe but it was alright). The fish was phenomenal and is the reason that I'm rating them five stars . On the other hand , I didn't care for the collard greens or macaroni and cheese (this could be due to biased taste buds) , there's a specific taste that I go for when eating greens and macaroni and cheese and the taste preference depends on where the cooks of these dishes originate . It wasn't nasty just not to my liking. That fish ? though ... OMG!!! I'll definitely be ordering from there again , I'll try different sides next time .“

“We’ve been coming here for 5 years now. I LOVEEEEE their chicken and fish with extra lemon pepper and bbq sauce. Their customer service is amazing. It’s Christmas and they are getting cussed out left and right for the wait times. I feel so bad because again, they are working so hard-away from their families, making amazing food, just to get cussed out and have to apologize anyway. To the staff: thank you. Thank you for being amazing and showing up 365 days a year.“
