I visited this winery and it was an awesome place off the beaten path. They had live music playing and a warm cozy atmosphere. The wine hostess Hannah was awesome and knew her wines. I ended up buying a bottle and two flight will be back again.
This place is remote and very mom and pop or vintage vibes. If you like secluded and a calmer vibe this place is for you. I feel like it appeals to an older crowd. The wine is good, nice selection and affordable. The staff is very nice.
I purchased Elks Run dessert wine, Sweet Katherine at a local store in Maryland. I purchased two bottles, and these two bottles of the same wine could not have tasted more difference. I have purchased this wine for years, it use to be my favorite and I know how it usually tastes. I stopped purchasing it for a while because the bottles didn't seem consistent. However, I wanted to give it another try. Shame on me! The two recent bottles where the complete opposite of each other....
