My husband and I had been on the road from Southwest Virginia to Baltimore since early Friday morning to pick up a car. We had not eaten since lunch, and the dealership kept us well after an appropriate dinner time with paperwork. Very tired and very hungry, we finally left the dealership after 10:30 pm, searching for somewhere to eat. At about 11:20, we left I-70 at the Mount Airy exit, hopeful that the local IHOP would still be open. They were, but they were closing at midnight....

Not a bad wait for a Sunday morning at all, the waitstaff were also kind and quick. The food was edible, and that's really all I have to say. I think that there's an issue in the kitchen bc it was all slightly undercooked. Steak was medium rare when I asked medium, eggs were runnier than expected for over easy, and it took 30 minutes to toast one English muffin. The less stellar option was the banana pancakes. Considering it's an IHOP, I wasn't expecting dry...

My family of 6 ate here. Carlos was great, kind, courteous and constantly cleaned up the trash that all of us had. The whole experience with him was great. And his good manager helped out too!
