I cannot believe I just ordered $100 worth of food and did not like any of it…… we got salmon hibachi, 3 types of sushi & extra yum yum which i immediately could tell was not a standard yum yum. It was some peppery mayo. This food is below average (salmon under cooked & swimming in some type of liquid which wasn’t appetizing). The sushi we got did not match the online description at all & both roles look the same with different sauce. I’m truly shocked at all of these good reviews. The reviews are what made me take the chance and I deeply regret it. $100 in this economy for what we received… I would really like my money back. When I called to tell them, the lady who answered said there wasn’t a manager for me to speak with then when I told her the issues, she told me to bring the food back & that she was going to get her manager & for me to hold on. I hung up because I’m not driving 30 minutes back to the restaurant. No customer service. Go to Saltwater 10 mins away & save yourself the headache & money!

We've always loved this place. Great food and very friendly people. Yet, I ordered take out today, and there are two plastic pieces in the eel avocado roll. Lucky the kids didn't swallow them.

This is a great little place for sushi! It’s fresh, reasonably priced, and the staff is very courteous and helpful. The sushi chef was very talented and everything was perfect. The atmosphere is also welcoming in a Mt. Airy way. I will be back!

I have loved this place since it opened. The food is high quality and the service is always excellent. Update: 6-14-25, I had broken my trend of going to Katana regularly so I was surprised that, not only did Angela and John rememberd me, but John even wished me a happy birthday. No one from my family clued them in as it was a take out order. They really treat their customers well. They did not dissappoint with the food as well, impressing our guests, as usual.

Server chased us out for a tip, even though we tipped already!!! The service was really bad. They messed up the order and there was things missing from the food! They wanted us the same table to tip them twice, even though we already tipped. Really mean service!!! Rushing us to order right when we got to the place….

Great sushi restaurant with a large and varied menu of all sort of sashimi, nigiri, sushi, etc. Also has good appetizers (the shumai and tuna collar are our favs). Lastly, great service and super fast food to table times, you rarely wait more than a few minutes for anything.
Highly recommended.
