I've been living in the DMV for several decades and never knew about Potomac Fish House. It's by far the best seafood takeout spot I have encountered, with a family-run business offering amazing made-to-order seafood options.
This establishment gets the most important elements of good fried seafood right. The fish was fresh, fried to order, ready in minutes, and portioned well. However, I was disappointed to receive only a small packet of tartar sauce, which is a necessary condiment for such a meal. The fried fish on its own was fairly flavorless. I did receive ketchup and hot sauce, which aided the meal, but more tartar sauce was needed. Be aware the hours may be incorrect on Google. The listing said...
