We stopped in for the first time today and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We sampled the crab gumbo ( soup of the day) it was delicious so we took some home for our son who thought it was exceptional. The hot bar had a nice selection. We live about a half hour from there and the food stayed warm and didn’t lose its crispy texture from being fried. The seasoning on the fried clams, beer battered haddock and cod was delicious. Can’t wait to stop by again!
great food.great service, great prices
Amazing selection of fish, meat, oysters and delicious deli. Friendly people and great service.
Really fresh seafood, and last month they had the largest softshell crabs I have seen in the last 30+ years!!
Re Gina Cindric's comment from 'a year ago'. We agree. Lighthouse has changed considerably. Soon after new employees came on duty, we noticed the fresh fish is now piled high, and obviously the older fish gets moved to the top, as the salmon we purchased was slimey. I bought it on Sunday and wanted to cook it Monday. The 'new' employees do not have the knowledge the previous employees did. Not pleasant at all. We bought from Lighthouse weekly. Everything was fresh, including the salads, which are now packaged, not packaged to order. We haven't been back.
The fish is fresh but price gouching is going. Bought 36 crabs for $298, ridiculous! I'm not coming back here for crabs
FRESH, knowledge, and fair priced. Can't say enough good things about this place.
The freshest seafood in town. Every single time I buy from here I'm impressed with the quality of the fish, crab and shrimp. You can also order hot food to go. I bought sushi-grade salmon and shrimp tempura, and created a poke bowl at home! Great prices for the quality as well. (If you're buying raw fish to make your own sushi, the price is unbeatable!)
I live in Middletown, Md. so it is a bit of a trip to get here. I try to stop by and get some food as I travel I-70. For some reason my schedule rarely coincides with Lighthouse Seafood's hours and I find it closed as I pass through New Market. Today I was visiting a friend in Damascus Md, and when I left, I stopped by to get some food at Lighthouse. I saw a flyer advertising Lobster Rolls. It was 4:40 Sunday when I arrived. I had an employee check on me and I asked about the Lobster Rolls and he said yes they still had some. Then he went into the back and came back out and told me that there were no Lobster Rolls left and they were cleaning the kitchen, which meant the kitchen was closed. No more cooking. At 4:45. Glad I didn't drive all the way from Middletown to get no food. If you want to close the kitchen early, close the entire store at 4:00 or 4:30. Don't close the kitchen when you are still open for 15 minutes. Needless to say very disappointing. I will be going to JB Seafood in Myersville. At least it is closer to my house. Sorry Lighthouse. I like your variety and menu.
Crabs were perfect, big and full of meat. No watery bad crabs. Since I’ve been buying crabs for 60 years it’s really unusual not to have at least one bad crab. Staff were very helpful when I called and quick and polite when I came in. 5 stars today!

7/27/24 Ordered a bushel of crabs and they were the best! Nice sized crabs full of meat and amazing flavor. We finished the bushel 😊 Thank you Lighthouse!
Great place to get all that you need in the way of sea food.
Just went in there and couldn't get service 9 mins before closing time. Door said "open" and the only over age 18 looking employee was not friendly and would not speak to me. There were still some crab legs out in the case but I was told "we're closing" so obviously they did not care to make a sale. These employees need customer service training. If you're going to turn people away, at least have the courtesy to change the sign on the door to "closed."
Always great and fresh food
One word. Awesome!
