The seafood is good, but the sides are sub par. The coleslaw, which was recommended on Everything Frederick as " the best around" by people, tastes about the same as Food Lion, metallic aftertaste and just bad. the cost was 11.00. The 12.00 potato salad had hard potatoes and was thrown right in the trash. I make good potato salad, but my husband cant resist buying bad potato salad everywhere, Lighthouse included.
Very clean store. Friendly staff didn't keep me waiting too long at all. Lighthouse seafood is a definite stop for a wide selection of fresh fish. I always get the Scottish salmon. Very delicious. But just be very specific about the size of your slices if you're ordering it that way, or else you'll walk away with more fish than you intended. This place is great! I’ve come here about 5 times to pick up seafood to cook at home. Clams, fish, shrimp, crabmeat, etc. and everything’s always been great, fresh and flavorful. I love that you can get fresh Roseda steaks there as well. I made a delicious clam chowder recently, snd out of 100 little neck clams there were only 2 that didn’t open. That’s incredible and they were so flavorful! Highly recommend this place for fresh and local seafood.
