Food was just ok but a bit overpriced for just generic American food. The burgers were all overcooked. Ordered medium and I got well done patties. The crab dip was basically all cream cheese. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. The only straight negative thing was that they ran my card twice for the same meal. When I contacted the restaurant the next day I just kept getting told to call back later. They didn't not seem interested in helping me out. I contacted the bank and am in the process of disputing the charges.

Saw they had a kids meal special on monday’s. Called to place an order for 4 kids meals. Drove over there, just to be told that you had to get an adult entree to get the kids meals for $1. I asked for the menu and then they changed it to oh it’s an entree per kids meal. Nowhere on the website does it say that, and I wasn’t told on the phone either. Wasted over 20 minutes to drive there for nothing. Maybe you should put that somewhere or tell that to the customer before they drive to you and waste gas. Seems very stupid.

The Derby offers a delightful dining experience that stands out in the local food scene. The ambiance is charming and warm, perfect for a casual dinner or a special occasion. We started our evening with the fried mozzarella, which was fresh and flavorful, setting a wonderful tone for the meal. The main courses did not disappoint either. The Ftech dip, waa terrific though the ajus was a bit salty.

The service was attentive without being intrusive, making us feel welcomed throughout our visit.

Overall, The Derby is a fantastic choice for those seeking a memorable meal with great service. I would highly recommend it and look forward to returning to explore more of their menu!

Kid-friendliness: Saw a few kiddos enjoying their visit they have a small section of child offerings on their menu with the usual stuff.

Stopped in last night for carryout Ceasars salad with salmon. Ends of two romaine bundles were part of the salad and the salmon was thickly covered with pepper. Very disappointing.

This was my second time at the Derby in the past couple of years and I can't say I'd go out of my way to go back. The food itself was good, but the rest left much room for improvement. For example, when I let my server know that my Pepsi had no carbonation and that they might want to check the CO2 levels, she looked very confused and didn't say a word. A few minutes later, I saw her pour the contents of a 2 liter Pepsi bottle into beverage cups for another table and I realized why she looked so confused. Instead of a soda fountain, they were using the flat contents of a 2 liter bottle. That in itself was no big deal, but also, even though it was a gorgeous day out, my sons wanted to sit indoors to avoid insects. Unfortunately, that didn't help as there were multiple flies at our table and others. One of my sons wanted to box up his meal just so that flies couldn't get to it and would rather eat it at home under the circumstances. Additionally, our server never checked in with us during our meal, regardless of the fact that it was not a busy time.
As I said, the food was good, but based on the service, way they serve basic beverages and insect issues, there are other places I'd rather give my patronage to.

Soup of the day was without a doubt straight from a can. Everything tasted processed or frozen. Nice atmosphere and good service, however, I won't be returning.

We have eaten here a couple of times now. The food is good. We did have one miss, but it was corrected by the manager, and the food was great. The service was good, and they have a huge outdoor section with an ice cream shack. Make sure to bring cash as the ice cream shack is cash only.

Stopped in for lunch on our way to WV. It is located on the main street of a small town that is just so gorgeous. Lots of menu options. We got the reuben sandwich and a turkey avocado BLT pannini with fries. I think the fries were a little bit salty but good enough not to care. Sandwiches were packed and very tasty. The service was great. They even filled up my water bottle on our way out when I asked.

Food was delicious. We sat on the back deck with music right in front of us! The staff was very friendly with prompt delivery of our orders. My only complaint would be the uneven sidewalk where my friend stepped and fell!

Burger was outstanding! I had the sunrise burger, and the egg melted in my mouth. Also, amazing service! Super fast with bringing out the food even when busy.

Located on Main Street in New Market, Maryland, this restaurant is a little gem. It's an adorable building that appears to house a small restaurant. Don't let the exterior deceive you. Besides the indoor seating, which is comfortable, there is so much seating in the back. It's unbelievable. There's also a nice-sized parking area in the back of the restaurant, so there's no need to park on Main Street.
