great music selections, local bands & great vibes.
The food and staff is just awsome.
Good food
Very nice staff, but the quality of food was not what I expected.
friendly staff. great food
Drove almost an hour and a half and the crabs were small. Not worth the ride!
We drove an hour for the All You Can Eat Crabs & it was well with it!!! They were brought out hot & they were a good size! Very full & tasty. Only downfall is we have to drive an hour home with super full bellies
I haven't been here in over a year due to the service and food being terrible my last visit. They are changing the name and I decided to try it out again and I'm glad I did. The service was great and the food was amazing. Shrimp tacos were big and full of shrimp. Crab balls were flavorful and everything came out steaming hot. My cup never went under half before being refilled.
First, the name has changed. We almost missed it. The new name is Captain Charles Seafood House and Marina. Second, the "hostess" sits behind the glass door that opens into the dining room. Our party didn't notice nor did she stop us from finding our own seating. When she realized we had seated ourselves, she gave us menus without any greeting. Third, the waitress was plenty helpful when ordering. Not so helpful when we were in need of anything else. We came for the all-you-can-eat crabs. They weren't as big as we thought, so we opted for a dozen extra large crabs. They didn't look much bigger than the medium ones for the special. They were ok. Could have done better closer to home price-wise. The appetizers were good (catfish nuggets, seafood nachos). The raw oysters seemed not right. Last, the menu stated an 18% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. Our bill had a 20% "service charge instead. The service wasn't the greatest and we paid less than what was "suggested". Let's not mention the fact that they charged us an imported beer price for a domestic beer. Yuengling has one of the oldest breweries in the U.S. At what point is that imported? Any way, the server had no problem coming to the table to collect the bill. She also had no problem discussing why the bill was short. We told her and she said she'd talk to the manager about it. We didn't see her return, so we left. Seemed like the local/frequent diners got more attention and service. The isn't enough time to recount some of the instances we saw. We were hoping to get the experience we had a couple of years ago when it was Shymansky's. We'll stick closer to home next time.
Went downhill in food

It was very good my standard is soft shell sandwich without bread biggest I have had this year very good then the other is do crabs number 1s for real cooked fresh can't ask for any more. Our first trip will be back. Our server was Angela made sure what we needed very nice evening
The steamed shrimp with crab legs was delicious. The shrimp were very large, and cooked to perfection with lots of Old Bay!!! The service was excellent and a fun atmosphere.
I regularly come by grabbing some food in this place. I enjoyed the rapid customer service and well made food. Fantastic work.
Great Food and Service!
Nice jumbos. Yummy sides. Good service! 4 stars as seasoning was a little too salty especially on the legs.
