Hook & Vine - Kitchen and Bar

We love this town and this restaurant. Great service and the food is always good. Highly recommend

A group of us made brunch reservations on Sunday and everyone enjoyed the food. Bloody Marys were excellent. The bartender (can't remember her name) was our server and she was GREAT!! Highly recommend their brunch!

Visited for at least the 3rd or 4th time, each time was good, great only once! This past weekend the service was terrible and the food was just ok. Walking in the young lady ask how could she help us? We look baffled as it was a restaurant, one would think, we would like to be seated. I replied, if possibly could we be seated at a table, she said follow me. It was a approximately, 12 minutes or so before someone came to our table to bring water and to ask what we wanted to drink other than water. We ordered an appetizer and our meal all at once, fearing she may not return for awhile. We watch waiters come and go with food, they did not appear to busy, nut could not see the bar area. I finally got the attention of our waiter and ask her if we could get the appetizer, she did go and retrieve it. Later on, I ask again as to when our food would be ready since we only ordered a fish sandwich and beyond burger with fries and salad. It took 32 minutes for our cold food to be placed on the table. The waitress was not rude, just not trained. She tugged at her shorts, which looked uncomfortably tight the entire time she walked, we finally ask for the billed. We gave her our credit card and she return it to us by laying it on the the table along with the receipt, we did tip her out of decency. She clearly did not deserved, but I think could benefit from being properly trained. Hook & Vine, please review and make the necessary adjustments.

I love this place and have ever since they opened. The north beach burger, Tuscan ravioli and crab deep are divine!

Food ok/average. We sat outside and although the atmosphere was pleasant, the noise from the street was deafening.

Just got back from having dinner. Service was horrible, it appears that our waitress was also a bartender, so she did not pay much attention to us at all. We got more attention from the bus boy, food was lukewarm.

Nice folks. OK menu. fries were cold, the rest ok. It was 6:30pm on a Tuesday. Crowded! Busy waitstaff. They brought us new hot fries.

We love the Hook. Food always the tops and the Staff is amazing. Even short staffed the night we were there; they just turned it up a notch! Great job to the entire staff.

Context, busy Saturday evening...took 30min to get one appetizer and an additional 45min to get entrees. Multiple sides missing and had to remind wait staff twice. Steak was not even warm enough to melt butter on top. It was cooked to proper temp, but must have sat too long at the pass.

We hadn't been there in awhile and thought we would give it a try, it's always been a sure thing. We were seated at one the the clustered 2-tops that affords no privacy. Our waitress was sweet and chatty, no problem. However, we waited 45 minutes for our food-with no explanation (if the kitchen is short, just let us know so we can set expectations). When the food did come out (Grouper Sandwich and fish and chips) it was hot and amazing, worth the wait. Hopefully they get their issues resolved, I'd hate to see them go away.

The service was sweet and attentive. We had an unexpected additional guest and they were so accommodating. All the food was yummy and the drinks were well made. Thanks for making the night special for me and my family! 🍰

Service and food was good! However, the server asked if I wanted to add a “protein” to my salad and was shocked when the bill came and my under $10 salad turned into an over $30 salad. Add on prices aren’t listed on the menu. I could have ordered a full meal for less than what I was charged!

Very poor experience compared to first visit a year ago. Had looked forward to bringing family there and ended up embarrassed instead of excited. Service was so slow we were looking around for 10 minutes before waitress appeared to take order. Food was a big disappointment compared to last year. Not even average. Bloody Mary's blew us away last year—substandard this year. Won't be back.
