Great food and atmosphere

If the atmosphere matched the food, this would be a five star review. The staff was friendly and tried hard, so I can forgive service gaffes and missed details. The atmosphere, however, was ridiculous.

I was wondering why the atmosphere seemed flat and a random song would play followed by five minutes of silence. Then, I discovered that music is played on a juke box, more like a third rate sports bar than a fine dining restaurant. It turns out that if you want a little atmosphere with your $50 meal and you don't want to overhear the conversations of neighboring tables, be prepared to fork over some extra money to pay for music.

It is clear that an enjoyable guest experience comes way behind trying to squeeze a few extra pennies from customers. The strategy seems self-defeating, since at least in this case, rather than a five star review and a repeat customer, I am writing this review and they have driven away me and my lady.

Back to my old stomping grounds for a quick overnight visit and can’t come to the beach without eating mussels at Neptunes! Neptunes never disappoints! Food is delicious, beer is cold and staff is friendly and attentive! Thai mussel’s over angel hair pasta with garlic bread is not only my favorite meal here, but probably my favorite meal all together!!

I would give zero stars if I could! Sat down waiting forever for service and food was trash as well wouldn't recommend worse dinning experience I've ever had. Also it was 2pm not busy at all
