Place is open like 2 days a week and has hours that make zero sense at all idk how the employees pay thier bills.I don't see this place staying open.

Every single cake I have ordered so far has always turned out to be tasty. They never disappoint me with the taste. I wish them good luck and hope that they continue to maintain the quality!!!

Much bigger square footage with the new location. Coffee was good and it wasn’t too crowded to sit down on a rainy winter weekend.

I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes for a party. They were so dry we couldn't eat them. They weren't cheap! They all ended up in the trash. I gave two stars for the service because the girl who rang me up was friendly, but she had her hands all in her hair putting it back up in a hair band. That's not something you want to see around food. The atmosphere was fine.

On a whim I needed to get some good cupcakes, I live in Calvert County and thought to try. They were so good very moist and the cream toppings were perfect not too sweet. They were ready in 5 minutes the cafe is adorable and soo many people raved about the other pastries- I intend to come back.

Stopped here twice on vacation. They were training someone new, and it was very busy. Very worth the wait. I dream of the caramel macchiato. Plzzz drop the recipe ?

I like the fact that it is a local coffee shop for me. The employees are nice and patient. I even heard one of the young ladies handle a visitor that was asking ridiculous questions and stayed cool the whole time. The chalk wall of menu options is well done and easy to read. They had soft music (Maroon 5) playing and that gave it a chill atmosphere. I would say check it out to have your own opinion being as though I have not ate a lot of different foods. Also because of the employees shop local and give support.

I’m not an everyday coffee drinker but I do like getting coffee from this shop. I would have to say that the Employees are the key to this coffee shop they are nice and friendly. They have good breakfast sandwiches and baked goods. There are outside tables to sit at or go walk around on the boardwalk.

I really want to love this place, but for a shop named the Bakist, it’s baked treats are just not good. I’ve ordered a cookie, raspberry roll, chocolate cupcake, and carrot cake all on separate occasions. The cookie and raspberry roll were just okay. I wouldn’t order either again. The cupcake and carrot cake were actually tossed after a few bites. Both had a funny taste to its frosting, and the carrot cake tasted like the ingredients weren’t mixed up. Both were also dry. It was very disappointing for a shop that is so cute.If you do go, try a breakfast sandwich. Those have been consistent.

I have tried to like this place but every time it’s worse. Today the bagels were inedible. It tasted like a ball of yeast. Idk if they got a new baker who wasn’t trained but it was awful. & the coffee is atrocious. I think everyone needs to be properly trained. The location is the only good part about this coffee shop. Will have to stick to Starbucks from now on

The pastries at " the bakist" in this local Bakery in North Beach, MD are AMAZING. I take my morning walks on the 7 block Boardwalk of North Beach, and wait for the bakery to open so I can get my treats :) Don"t take my word for it, go get some!!

Reviewed them on Facebook for being unprofessional and blocked me from their page and took down the ability for anyone to review. Past employees have been harassed by the owner and that’s something people should know before spending their money here. Not to mention everything is overpriced for what you get anyways.

I don't understand the hype.I have given this place SO MANY chances because I genuinely want to love it but every time there's at least one item that's simply terrible. Today we got 2 bagels (very doughy but they always are - my kid insisted) a muffin - very dense and a cinnamon roll - the cinnamon roll historically has always been a hit - today? GROSS. it's chewy, and tasted like yeast - absolutely no cinnamon flavor to be had even smells yeasty. We also got a breakfast sandwich and the croissant was mushy like it was re-heated.one time we got a muffin and it just tasted like baking soda. The coffee is blah, but it's the only option. The last time I got an iced coffee the ice melted before I even left the store because they just poured hot coffee over ice so I had a luke warm over priced watered down coffee. It's not a cheap place to get food/treats we've been here a lot. I just don't get the hype at all... I've tried really hard.
