Very poor food! Last night menu included overcooked red snapper and dried fried chicken. Both were just non-eatable. The sides included undercooked sweet potato and collard greens which was tasteless. Prices are high and quality is extremely low. I doubt we will try any food from this caterer. A better bet is to bring a sandwich.

Mediocre cafeteria food at upscale restaurant prices. The grilled vegetables were green and yellow zucchinis ,the sizes of baseball bats, that were tasteless, the rice was good, but the chicken was so dry I thought I was eating a jerky. The Peruvian chicken soup had lots of peas a few carrots but the chicken was absent. Overall, the food in any high school cafeteria is superior to what is served at Alegro.

As noted in a previous review, Allegro Kitchen is definitely overpriced and waiting in line is a drag but there no choice in the area.. My complaint is that the veggie burger was served barely warm on a cold bun. My companion's sirloin burger, which was the same price at $14, was served with a choice of cheese, and hot off the grill. French fries are excellent and the eating area was regularly cleaned off and the young lady showed us to an empty table.

The venue is lovely but the liquor served at the bar is suspect. I ordered a Knob Creek ($16+$2 tip) and came away with some harsh substitute. Someone must have poured the substitute into the Knob Creek bottle, which was almost empty. Why not just don't offer it if you don't have it. I couldn't go back and complain as it was during intermission and the lines were long. I didn't want to raise a stink. Almost ruined my evening but Joshua Bell saved it. If you want to investigate, it happened at the orchestra level bar on May 1.

Deli tastes foods with deli level of kindness with over priced foods. However i remember that it's located in the event venue, and their business is not related with customer service

What a beautiful and impressive space! I had the incredible pleasure of seeing Rufus Wainwright here when he came to the area earlier this month. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, with a brightness and an elegance to its design that is quite unusual compared to other concert spaces I have been to in the DMV. There is nothing stodgy about this space; in contrast, it seems to perfectly combine a sense of classic elegance with a sleek, modern feel. More importantly, though, this venue is perfectly designed for everyone to truly enjoy the music. The acoustics are wonderful, and you can tell how elegantly and intelligently the space was planned. With the flexibility of the space, it can easily transition from a choral or orchestral piece to a band to a solo performer, which is a huge asset to their success. In terms of logistics, I am grateful that this space is so accessible to the Metro, with a fun and attractive skywalk connecting the venue to the station. There is also a very easily walkable garage at the end of that skyway. If you're hungry or looking for refreshment, there is a large cafeteria as well as several little bars and snack stands scattered throughout the impressively large building. All in all, a wonderful space that I would be thrilled to return to for any number of events in the future.

This is the first time I've been here and it was fabulous. I came to see Post Modern Jukebox and the acoustics were great, the seating was great, the ushers and general staff scattered around the Center were extremely helpful and parking was free. They even had a little golf cart shuttle to go back and forth over the pedestrian bridge (covered) for people who had some mobility problems. All in all, I would come back here for any music. There's nothing not to love about the place. Even the concessions were reasonable priced. Definitely, a five star place.

Wonderful venue& performance. I have visited The Music Center@Strathmore several times. This is my first formal review. Specifically for my visit (12/14/18): Big Band Holidays Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra w/Wynton Marsalis. The venue is expansive w/sweeping curves. Yet the concert hall & stage felt quite intimate Once I was seated looking at the stage. *A variety of venue dining options are available. I did not dine during this visit. I did arrive early As it was a rainy night-didn't want to be late. I walked from Grosvenor Metro Station to the metro parking garage a few steps away. *Taking the parking garage elevator to Level 4. Then walked the covered walkway to Strathmore Safe & Dry. This entrance puts you steps From "Will Call" & "Coat Check". Once I picked up my tickets, I found a table & sat down until the doors opened for performance. The doors opens & ushers positioned throughout To answer questions & direct guests to their seats. The House was Full by the time the performance began. The show was full of wonderful holiday magic. Much of the music performed including "jingle bells, winter wonderland & silent night" were original Musical arrangements composed by orchestra members. The highlight of this performance was The solo by Veronica Swift singing "The Man with the Bag." A jazzy take on Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Her vocals harken by to jazz great Ella Fitzgerald. Strathmore is a wonderful performance venue.

I *LOVE* Strathmore Hall. Lived in the area the better part of my life and concerts are and always have been one of my very favorite things to enjoy in this world. As a kid, teen, young adult, now. SH has the best acoustics in the entire DC area, and I've experienced all venues many times. When they first opened, they offered many different types of music as well as comedy, dance, etc. Over the last couple of years, the calendar has gone flat and basically empty. What is going on??? Example: Several years ago, each fall, new and existing local talent performed. Haven't done anything like that at SH in years. Why? They also had the Peking Acrobats perform several times over the years. It was awesome. Talent beyond comprehension. We enjoyed it immensely. Well, it was magical! As well asked friends and family to accompany when they came again. Last night, we went to a performance by the Chinese Acrobats. I know these kids work hard practicing their craft, and my hat is off to them. There were "moments," of athleticism, as well as many missteps, but overall, it was not Strathmore quality. My thoughts went to the Inner Harbor steps. Tickets were NOT cheap. About a decade ago, we had the incredible experience of seeing a cover group called Aussie Pink Floyd at Strathmore. It was perfection and I get goose bumps thinking of it. People were bowing to the group. Even the real Pink Floyd had endorsed them. Incredible performance. The lights, the sound, the excitement. The wonder. And Strathmore Hall was the perfect place. In a few years, they split and became two PF cover bands, Aussie PF and Brit PF. We followed the better band, Brit all over the place. Never was there a better venue than Strathmore. To our delight, the lesser band, Aussie, appeared at SH recently. You should have seen the crowd!! The food and drink were flowing, money everywhere. The place was packed. It was a great show. Last night, we got there early in case lines were long again, and there was literally no one in line. SH, find some acts and performances people actually *want* to hear and see!!! You have the most spectacular venue in this area and I know some of the bigger names want bigger venues. But you aren't trying hard enough. Kudos, kudos, kudos for bringing in Aussie. It was such a great draw and such excitement. And hey, not everyone likes symphony or Frank Sinatra music. I think that's pretty obvious from the turnout. I know about AMP. It's not SHMC by a loooooong shot. Please try harder. There are acts out there that would fill the place. I think they're trying so hard to appeal to the monied crowd, they don't realize that the wealthy also love rock, pop, excellent and entertaining shows like Peking Acrobats, unusual and unique experiences that use the excellent sound and magical atmosphere to its fullest.

What a beautiful concert hall. I took my 5th grade class to hear a jazz band. The acoustics were amazing! Our seats were high up in the venue. The screens made a difference, so we could see the stage clearly. The sound was magnificent and the stunning wood paneling made the concert hall feel warm and rich. The seats were comfortable and the staff was kind. It was a lovely morning and I won't hesitate to go back.

I won tickets to the Colin & Brad comedy show here and was pleased to find a modern, clean venue with service oriented personnel. Many helpful ushers and very accomodating house managers. Parking is in a building just across a small street and has a connecting tunnel to the venue. Beware the balconies are super high up so if you have a fear of heights, you may prefer to invest in tickets on the orchestra level.

This is a beautiful venue, but please be warned that if you have a disability, you may not be accommodated. I have an extremely severe allergy to dogs, such that being seated near a dog would cause trouble breathing, among other symptoms. I attended a concert recently and when I was getting ready to sit down, I noticed two other patrons with service dogs. I stopped a staff member and explained the situation and let her know what would happen if I was seated next to these dogs because it would present a medical problem for me. The staff member told me that the two people with the service dogs were "regulars" and that if they happened to be seated next to me, *I* and my family would have to be the ones to move. It was an extremely stressful experience for both me and my family, and really soured the whole evening. Luckily I was not seated next to the patrons with the dogs. I doubt I will attend another concert here. So be warned, if you have a disability you'd better be a regular, or have a disability that necessitates the use of a cute dog, or else you will not be accommodated. Even if you paid money for good seats.
