Sports & Social Bethesda

This has to be one of the worst sports bars I’ve visited in a long time. The place feels completely amateur, and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it goes out of business. I went there today in my hometown of Bethesda (North Bethesda in this case) to watch the MLS Final with friends who grew up in the area.
First, the staff seemed clueless about sports and what a local crowd would want to watch. We actually had to beg them to put the game on. Then we sat in the lower bar area for over 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. I finally had to get up and ask the host who walked by where our server was. He told us there was only one waitress covering the entire section—around 30+ seats. That’s ridiculous. It felt like they were cutting costs at the expense of basic service.
The menu is overpriced, and while the beer was fine, it wasn’t anything special for what they charge. I won’t be going back. I live in Vienna, and we have plenty of restaurants and bars that actually pay attention to their customers. I also heard the place turns into a hip-hop bar later at night, which just adds to the overall confusion about what this business is even trying to be.

Kevin was absolutely wonderful. We had a blast with him. We only had drinks and the drinks were strong. Will come back just to see Kevin!!

This place is so cool, I sat at the bar and Julie took care of me. I had a couple drinks, which tasted amazing. I couldn’t tell if she was alone or the only one working, but she rocked it. Will definitely come back to watch a game if she’s working!

I was very disappointed in management after I called ahead and booked a table for friends to view the Benavidez fight card. During the phone conversation they assured me they would show this event; however, when I arrived they had several other events showing, but not the fight. I asked to speak to the manager because my friends and I had driven from a far distance. All he could say was, “I’m sorry”. #Unacceptable

Place is really chill , food was on point , recommend kev as your bartender drinks was fire !

I met with some friends here last night after a bad experience at the bar across the street and I am glad we did. Julie and Rose were very attentive and worked well together, splitting up the drink order of our group. my gf got an espresso martini the first round but a raspberry lemon drop the second time around and said they were both great. Also big fan of the cookie dessert. We will definitely be back. Thanks for turning our night around
