Found an almost dead lantern bug in my guacamole greens salad that I had delivered to my job for dinner. Disgusting and unacceptable! For the prices we pay you would think quality control would be in place. I’m glad I didn’t inadvertently ingest the bug. Do better!

I ordered a Shroomami, which is a vegetarian salad, and received a salad that had chicken on it. It also had ingredients that are not part of the salad like carrots.

Unfortunately the service was displeasing at best. The ingredients were in good to decent shape in comparison to the numerous other SG locations I’ve been at, but the service was disappointing. One of the workers who took my on Sunday evening shift was generous with the base, which I appreciated, but skimpy with the vegetable and protein toppings. She did not bother to actually empty the scoop, so my bowl ended up with half scoops of pickled cabbage, onion, etc. I had to wait for the steak to be cut, and while it was nice to get it fresh, the portions were maybe half or two-thirds of the usual protein. SG has always been good hearted and for my personal preference perfectly slightly with their protein, so it was quite noticeable. My friend commented as well. She did plate the bowl neatly and was very generous with the blue cheese for some reason. She also overcharged a dollar or so, not sure where. It was just disappointing.

Stopped by Sweetgreen at Pike & Rose and tried the Caramelized Garlic Steak plate. Overall, the food tasted great — the steak was tender, the veggies were fresh, and everything had good flavor. Service was quick and the staff was friendly, no complaints there.
That said, $26 felt pretty steep for what it was. I get that you’re paying for quality ingredients, but at that price point, you start thinking about what else you could get around here for the same money. Tasty, but definitely more of an occasional splurge than a regular lunch spot for me.

I don’t understand whoever prepares the takeout food orders not see that the avocado is fully rotten before they place with the rest of the food. How does sweet green think this is expectable food service to provide to their customers with the amount they charge never coming back. Just because I order out does not mean I shouldn’t get the same quality food if I pay the same. Do not order online from this place.
