We've aways gotten a good meal here and service is always pretty fast.
The description on Google says Italian but although they do serve some Italian , there are plenty or regular sea food and American meals as well. This time my husband had a fried oyster sandwhich with a bowl of crab bisque soup and I had crab cake sandwhich with a cup of crab bisque. All was very yummy. We ordered our desert to take home and it was so delicious.... carrot cake and peanut butter pie with a generous amount of chocolate . I was so full but my taste buds just wouldnt let me stop!

Really love this restaurant, this place has been around forever , nostalgic, by the water feel. Food is on point, the service is great. Pricing is reasonable. Very friendly calm , 70s/80s small town feel. Clean . And easy accessable.

Pier One is literally the first restaurant one sees on entering the historic downtown of North East. It's artwork including murals and stained glass, attract attention. There are three dining areas, including a moderate one at the entrance, a larger one in the back with a side entrance, and tables on the porch at the entrance. Staff are welcoming and efficient. I started with a delicious Bloody Mary in a mason jar with Old Bay on the rim. For an appetizer. A cup of Pasta Fagioli soup was a hearty starter for today's cooler weather. I large house salad was served with my main course which was a phenomenal Veal Roberto. The dish consisted of three thin slices of veal and two large shrimp sautéed with butter, and served with plentiful mushrooms in a madeira cream sauce, served over spaghetti. When I first looked at the serving sizes, I assumed I'd be taking some home, but I couldn't stop eating until the plate was empty and me happily full.
Good food and friendly service.
