I actually enjoyed my experience here, the bartenders we nice and helpful when answering my questions. The drinks were good and reasonable strong and service as well.

The place has a nice comforting vibe. The food was good I had a Tuesday special of a fried shrimp platter that came with fries, hushpuppies and coleslaw and all of it was good all for $18 I don't eat everyone's coleslaw but theirs was pretty good. The shrimp (6 pieces) were a good size...

After going to Woody's once or twice a season, off and on for 20 years, my final verdict on it is: Meh.

Everything about Woody's falls short for me. The waits for a table are almost always way too long. The kitchen takes way too long to produce your order (it took an hour last time we went, and it wasn't close to crowded). There almost always seems to be some kind of mistake in the order. The servers can disappear for long stretches of time....

If you are looking for a great night out at a seafood restaurant that has everything, Woody's Crab House is the spot. There was a short wait before seating at peak dinner hours, but we spent that at the incredible bar located central to the dining areas. Our server Sam was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.
