Slice on the Avenue - New York Pizza

Got the Vegan Garden single slice. It tasted alright but I’ve definitely had way better vegan pizza especially for 6.99 a slice. There are better places to get your pizza fix imo.

Google asked me to write a review.. so here it is.

Unless you can get their lunch combo.. OMG is a slice of pizza expensive! $6 and some change for a single slice of pizza and the crust was dry like cardboard! I was a bit shocked because I had had their pizza a couple years ago and it was great! But at that time, it was purchased as a whole pie for takeout.. expensive then and even more expensive now.

As for the service.. it was a bit slow. Why? Because the 2 girls were in the back doing whatever they were doing.. and no smile, when one came to take my order. But I do like the way the place looks inside..

BTW, their fountain soda machine needs to be moved.. it should be where you pick up your pizza, but before the register.

This pizza is…fine. It is reasonably priced but not exciting. I got 2 slices of pepperoni- my baseline pizza order. The cheese and pepperoni were both tasty. The sauce is a little sweet, but it is on top of the cheese and there is too much of it. The crust is forgettable. Would not come back.

Honestly, this place is not good AT ALL. It’s overly priced for disgusting food. The pizza was disgusting and don’t even get me started on the waffle cheese fries $12.99 for this?!?!! This is NOT cheese fries. The cheese is more stuck to the bottom of the pan, than the actual fries. I’m honestly so disappointed that I spent so much money on this garbage.

We came down from York to try the crab dip pizza only to be told it was too close to closing time...

It was 40 minutes from closing time. No where near closing time... how businesses can pass up a $40 dollar sale in this economy is beyond me but here we are.

Thanks for leaving us hungry.

I was very disappointed!!!
I got a slice of pizza to take home, when I got home the pizza wasn't what I asked for, it was burnt, thin, and way to hard to eat!!! It was horrible and I will never go back!! I don't recommend this place to anyone

Wasn't really impressed about the Crab Dip slice, in my opinion way to much cheddar on top. The crab meat was plentiful it was just ok I've had better

Quick snack of crisp, tasty and hot cheese and tomato pizza slice! Quick servi e from ordering to a boxed slice. Opted a takeout to dine on sidewalk table and chair to enjoy a late morning relatively cool summer clime

On a nice Warm day The Ave Is The Hot Spot Fa Sho right by the Water Fountain where all the action is Family and Friends hanging out just enjoying the weather and spending quality time together.

Wanted to try and share the crab dip slice. Got that and another slice just for me.
The crab dip slice is BIG. Also, you can NOT consume that yourself in 1 sitting. I cut off about ⅓ of it and that was still too much. It is delicious and I could see lumps of crabmeat. It's basically crab dip covered in a GOOD layer of cheese. I don't even know if I noticed the crust underneath.
The other slice I got, pepperoni and green peppers, was really sad. I could see the sauce, which to me indicates a lack of the basic cheese for pizza. The pepperoni was good, but the green peppers were almost raw, which I'm just not used to on pizza. I might go back, but will definitely be specific in my order asking that there is sufficient cheese on my slice.
Shop is SMALL. Please plan to order and then go somewhere else until your food is ready. Staff were SUPER friendly, especially considering the group that was ahead of me.
