This is a great spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and as a bonus you can shop for all kinds of items either before or after you eat! Be sure to try a handmade milkshake, too!

So many booths filled with all kinds of antiques and collectibles. I love a shop like this and the counter in the back with food was a bonus!

The food was amazing! I had a garden salad which I loved all the vegetables! Just not the sizes of them, especially the carrots. I didn't use any salad dressing. I used oil and soya sauce instead but it was delicious. My friend had the shrimp salad with honey coleslaw s which she said was really great!!

What a great use of an old drug store. Keep the food counter open n fill the store with antiques.

Very unhygienic. Scratching underneath their shirts, no hair nets? And undercooked pancakes and omelettes? When's the last time a health inspector INSPECTED this place? Our waitress reached her hand into the chip bag rather than pouring them onto the plate. Would not recommend their food, however the service was not too bad. Atmosphere was very uncomfortable and unpleasant. Just bad vibes.

So my wife introduced me to this place as it's been tradition in her family for years whenever in DCL to come to Oakland to this quant little diner inside an antique shop! Just went again this past weekend and it's as good as always. Love the western omelets and the pancakes! Good food every time.

This was a cute little spot. Went out just to poke around at shops and decided to grab lunch. It’s been a long time since I have been somewhere that does malted shakes and they were worth the calories! It was so good. The food was good, would stop in again.

It's quite small, I had a backpack on I was worried I would know something fragile over, and I don't like leaving my backpack at the front of the store, if it's not too hard, can you widen the walkways a small bit nothing too much, if you can't that's alright. Overall a good place and nothing bad (Haven't tried the food, this is for the antique part)

Kid-friendliness: Keep your kids contained for the sake of the store (not to be rude)

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible 😁

Absolutely love this little "hole in the woods" as I call it! 14 yrs ago I just happen to stumble across this place and every time I have come back to the area, I always eat here!!

The old time feels of this place are enough to make me feel like home. The waitresses are always very friendly and attentive.

And MY personal fav thing - strawberry milk!! They have it and not just chocolate 👍

Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome! Family atmosphere

Wheelchair accessibility: The is a ramp out front leading into the store and straight back to the diner.

So I wouldn't go there to eat. My family walked to the counter and was standing in line to place an order. An employee told us to take a seat, and they would bring us a menu to review. So we went to the table sat for 10 minutes and then decided to leave as no one came over to even give us a menu, let alone take our order. As for the flea market, there were some ok booths with some nice items. It's worth spending a couple of minutes walking around if you are in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

This place has changed significantly since Dottie and her staff retiredbut it's still okay! It doesn't seem like much but has good food. If you ever wanted to try buckwheat cakes you won't find better. Homemade vegetable soup served here. All this in an antique store with an old fashioned dinner. Be warned that they close at 2:45 pm and will stop serving 1 or 2 hours earlier if not busy.
