Views great, service was sub-par, food slightly above average. Drinks were great. I don’t think the value is here based on the food prices. The views and drinks is what sells this place. No kid menu.

The vibe is excellent: great view of the lake, clean, modern, comfortable decor. Very accommodating outdoor seating if you have a cocktail while waiting for a table. Bartenders are extremely professional and make great cocktails. The lamb lollipops and deviled eggs were excellent appetizers. Everyone in our party said their entree was excellent. Service was a little slow, but we were a large party dining at the busiest time on their busiest night of the week.

Stopped here with my wife while we were driving through the area and were thoroughly unimpressed for the reasons below.
We sat at the bar, which is typically where we prefer to sit. Unfortunately, we chose a spot where bartenders were constantly passing by to grab bottles for drinks they were making—so it was frustrating that it took 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us. It was clear that had anyone been paying attention, they would have noticed we hadn’t been helped. The only reason we even got menus was because I had to ask for them; otherwise, it likely would’ve taken even longer. We had found a beer list on the bar and hoped we could at least order quickly once someone did come over, only to be told the list was outdated—so outdated, in fact, that 6 out of the 8 beers listed had changed.
It was busy when we arrived around 6:30 p.m., but I’ve been to busier bars and restaurants and received far better service. It didn’t seem like the bartenders were communicating with each other, which both my wife and I noticed independently.
The wait time for the food was as expected, and our meals came out correctly. Some reviews mention mistakes with food orders, but we didn’t have that issue. The only complaint was that the Crab Louie salad had significantly less crab than expected—barely half of what we anticipated, especially for the price. That said, given the touristy nature of the area, it wasn’t entirely surprising.
The first time any bartender addressed us unprompted was after we had already finished our meals. By then, we had been there for over an hour without anyone asking if we wanted drinks, menus, or even just checking in to see how things were going. I mentioned this to the bartender, who seemed surprised and apologetic. Shortly after, a manager or supervisor came by after hearing about our experience and offered us a complimentary dessert, even though we had already paid and were ready to leave. We politely declined, and when she offered a dessert to go, we again declined, as we’re not really dessert people. If you’re only offering something or apologizing as the guests are walking out, it’s too late. The person did adjust our check and provided a discount though.
The poor service is almost certainly due to the fact that the bartenders pool tips—something we confirmed by asking. That kind of system can lead to a lack of accountability and no real incentive to provide even decent service, let alone great service.
Given the mediocre service and just-okay food, we won’t be returning if we’re ever in the area again.

We came here and the service was TERRIBLE. We had to ask for menus and ask to order our drinks and food. We were not asked how our food was until after we were finished eating. The only person who helped us was a new hire; Vaughn. It was his second day. Clone a few Vaughns and your service will be good.

None of the steaks we ordered were cooked right, which we wouldn’t expect for the price we paid. The flavor of my steak was mediocre. They were also quite slow sitting us and serving us. It took about 15 minutes to get a steak knife I asked for after they forgot to give me one. Decent atmosphere by the lake.

It was a busy evening, and the restaurant seemed understaffed, which led to two issues.
1. The bar staff was clearly frustrated and not pleasant—at times even making negative comments about customers. They didn’t hustle or try to keep up.
2. The food was average at best, which has been consistent in my previous visits. I had the filet steak special—it was bland, no seasoning, no butter, just boring. The loaded baked potato was dry and forgettable.
That said, the ambiance is still the best in Deep Creek, so it’s worth a visit—just temper your expectations on food and service.

This place is beautiful! We got there early so we didn't have to wait for a table outside and it was worth it. Drinks were amazing, service was excellent across the staff that supported our busy server, and the atmosphere was perfect. The food was good, but I was disappointed with part of my meal because the potatoes were undercooked and covered in black spots—which was a $36 scallop entree with the potatoes being the most filling part of the meal. I told the server but nothing was done to accommodate the situation, but we would still come back.

What a beautiful spot! Stunning bar, stunning lake view, top notch service, and every meal was great. We liked it so much we went back two days in a row. Highly recommend the special deviled egg app, the corn and cojito dip, and the oat caramel pie dessert. I added salmon to the beet and chèvre salad. The chèvre was the best I’ve had.
The bar has a good vibe and the bartenders can make outstanding cocktails. Try one of the specials!
