Really excited these guys were open. It’s was the perfect stop for a lakeside lunch even in the off-season. The Mac and cheese was awesome and the shrimp warp was fresh with just enough spice.
Champions Lakeside Grill is now the Cabin Lodge Grill. Awesome enough to go back for a second lunch! The crab hush puppies were delicious, the fries fresh cut and salty. Fresh-made lemonade right onsite was the perfect beverage before and after time on the water.
The fries were excellent- fresh-cut, skin-on and done enough to stay crispy til I finished them. The burger (I got the regular, not the smokehouse) was also good- a good-sized portion, flavorful done well, served with a generous amount of pickles and two (2!) slices of tomato. But.... cheddar was not a cheese option; and, when I asked, I was told the options were Havarti, Feta, Mozzarella or Provolone- however she neglected to mention that the Havarti was dilled. Perhaps she didn't...
