Great service, the server made us feel like we were the only people in the place - he clearly enjoys what he does. The food and beer selection were awesome and it had a comfortable feel for being a smaller place. We'll definitely be back soon!

Way too loud for lunchtime. Food was fine. Service was slow but friendly. Music was really loud in a relatively small space (and out onto the street) and impeded conversation. At lunchtime, no thank you.

Stopped in for lunch and almost changed our mind because of the hard music being piped outside--including "shit" loudly across the neighborhood at noon. Nice. It was loud inside too, which works for happy hour, but has a lot at lunchtime. Our food was very good, our server was very friendly and helpful. Little slow despite not being crowded. The coffee shop next-door seems to have become a neighborhood institution already and we are looking forward to trying that. Honestly, without the Alanis Morissette impersonating singer on an amp in the middle of the day, this would've been a really nice experience. But conversation was nearly impossible over that. It was just a lot.

This is the best place in the area, to get coffee, have a beer, get some from scratch food, and enjoy live music. Reasonable prices combine with friendly staff and inviting atmosphere to make this place our favorite place in Garrett County.

this place is a little tight, but SO good for food!!! There was also live music and wasn't too loud, despite us being right in front of the speakers. The jalapeno poppers were fabulous with the blueberry (I think that is right!) sauce. The pizza pockets were super good, but my FAVE was the soup! we also had the grilled chicken sandwich and the grilled cheese. The bread is homemade, the pickles are homemade, its all so fresh!!

Lovely storefront taproom in Oakland Maryland. A dozen or more beers on tap, a nice menu of sandwiches and comfort foods. The waiter knew both the beers and the menus and chatted as he took our order. And oh yes! You can also order from the coffee shop next store! A charming experience.

I ate here a couple months ago while traveling for work, and it still sticks out to me as a particularly cool spot with fantastic food. I got the Jalalepño Boats and the Pulled Pork in Cornbread Bowls. Everything was great, but the Jalapeño Boats/Blueberry sauce they came with were especially delicious. I think it was one of the best dishes I've had anywhere and I mean that wholeheartedly. Will definitely be coming back if I'm ever in the area again!

They were out of several menu items. The two selections we were most interested in (brie wheel, pulled pork BBQ) were not available. The menu is already very small so this was very lmiting and disappointing. The food we did get was average at best and expensive for what it was. There were also a lot of bees on the patio. The service was attentive.

The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars was because they didn't really have anything I could drink because I need sugar free. The food was awesome and the service was great. I definitely recommend the food there. We both got the special. The Cuban sandwich was stuffed full and messy and tasted amazing. The steak fries were really good, too.Wheelchair accessibility: I'm disabled, and generally use a wheelchair. I opted to use my crutches to go in. It was a good choice because I think it would have been rather difficult to maneuver my chair in there with the table set up

This was a perfect restaurant for 3 generations! We had outstanding quality food including perfect grilled cheese and fries for picky “tween”; great options for a pescatarian and outstanding pulled pork in a cornbread bowl with kale slaw. Really funky fruit sodas, great beer and nice but odd named drinks like “pee no more” (Pinot noir) and other off the wall names. Great blistered fresh string beans. The server was extremely nice and patient as many orders were modified! Finally, the decor was very unique and attractive-very unexpected in a little restaurant/pub in Western MD. All In all-a jewel!

What a treat! Get the root beer, draft, best we’ve had. RB float made a great dessert. Food was way above average for a place like this, first class chicken pot pie with a biscuit.

Check out the menu before you go, not much of a selection. The on tap root beer and cream soda is delicious. It has a cute outside area.

Best all-around food experience in the area. If you’re visiting, add a visit to The Vagabond Taproom to your list of things to do. The food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the music (both live and whatever the staff puts on), and the staff themselves are all on point. My favorite is the chicken salad sandwich with a root beer (na and on tap!), or maybe the Merry Goat Round with something from the local/regional beer list. And you can’t beat a Hoop Tea on a hot day in the outdoor seating area. Pat and his staff are doing an amazing job!Kid-friendliness: I have my kids there all the time. They love the grilled cheese or a veggie plate, chips and salsa, and a hot cocoa/chocolate milk from the attached Shoofly Java. Order from both!Parking: Street parking (free!) or you can park in the nearby town parking lot. It’s only a block away!Wheelchair accessibility: Perfectly accessible from street level. There is a ramp leading right in and everything in the restaurant is on the same level. Restrooms are very roomy.
