We went there in October, off season, but I had the Philly Omelet which was hands down the worst omelet I've ever had. Atmosphere was dismal at best. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Went for early bird specials. The shrimp and claws were excellent. The tuna melt used canned tuna and was subpar.

Ugh.. Breakfast..

Usually before I enter a restaurant, I take all the reviews (good and bad), the price, and others’ experience into account before experiencing myself, and even considering writing a review.

I’m giving The Anchor a one star because it was simply that. Our service was nice, not very on point though. The atmosphere was a little meh as the place needs a touch up, especially the airflow, it seemed very run down, the edge of the tables were sticky, the dispensers (salt, pepper, syrup, etc) need replaced/modernized.

We were hungry, it was close by, and saw the prices were lower compared most places in the area.. and right there (the “low” price) should’ve said it all, even though our bill was high. $43 for two people..why? ESPECIALLY with the food not tasting good. The fan above our table also caused our food and my coffee to get cold.. my half filled coffee tasted TERRIBLE after it got cold, and I can usually tolerate cold coffee.

The 5 individuals at the table beside ours were missing multiple items on their plates and kept having to ask their server for these items, which the server then explained that they apparently didn’t have those items.

There was this weird smell that started to fill the air after about 5-10 minutes of sitting which was very displeasing.

The Anchors priorities are not straight, obviously, as each server was using touch screen devices to put in our order and for payment. Why not put that money into something else such as new syrup dispensers, or simply better tasting food?

I don’t usually write bad reviews, and when I do, it’s not to make the establishment look bad, but to simply inform others of the quality - and to hopefully inform the owner to get their ducks in a row.

We had breakfast, so maybe lunch and supper are better - however I will not be returning to find out.

It’s hard to mess up breakfast but they really messed up breakfast. The staff was nice but could not overcome bad eggs and rack hard pancakes.

We always stay here but never had order food from here until on our last day, we ordered some banging wings, grilled cheese is also pretty good so chicken tenders, would order again. We have been missing good food the whole time, and also the kids enjoyed the pool next to pretty little garden. I would recommend to give them another try!!!

Cute place. Italian feel. Nice, adorable man at the bar made me a great Margie. The pizza and fries were just okay..I don’t recommend riding the fries honestly but my sister liked them. we got them for take out. Price wasn’t the best either, but the convenience of it being right by the part of the beach we were on was fine.

I ordered chicken tenders , fries and a corn dog for take out. It took 40 minutes to get the food, and there was one couple in the restaurant. The waitresses were standing around because they didn't have customers. The slow service was obviously because of the cooks. When I got my food, the corn dog was burnt to a crisp on one half. I don’t know how a cook can serve food like this. The chicken tenders were good. The fries were tough as if they had been sitting.

We ate here twice during stay at the Days Inn.
June 2025
Both times the food was excellent, I want to go back just to have the French toast again. The staff was friendly and helpful.
My only complaint would be if both times even though we were clearly done eating and ready to pay we had to request the check. I'm not sure why but this really annoyed me.
It clearly states on the menu that there's a charge for paying with card, if you don't like that id recommend bringing cash.
It's a little pricier than getting something from McDonald's but for being right next to the boardwalk and in Ocean City it wasn't that expensive. Especially compared to some of the other places that we ate.

We were there in August during the air show weekend. We ordered a meat lovers pizza for carryout. I have to tell you it was one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten. And believe me I've eaten a lot of pizzas. It was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to go back and get another one. It was that good.

The Anchor Restaurant is a great place to dine and is located in the Days Inn by Wyndham hotel. From the owner to to wait staff was a great experience. We stayed at the hotel for seven days and ate at the restaurant six days. Mostly breakfast and lunch. The food is very tasty. My all time favorite is the crab dip, Ceasar salad, pizza, breakfast and cocktails by the poolside. The food also reasonably price and affordable. This is my 2nd summer in Ocean City and I still love the food at the Anchor. Everyone is friendly and make you feel right at home. Whenever you are in Ocean check out the Anchor.

We stopped to try their pizza because at the entrance it said that it is a pizza made in a brick oven. First of all it was wrong, because the pizza oven was not made of bricks. Also the pizza was beyond mediocre and we paid $4 to add bacon and saw only one piece of bacon, no bigger than a little fingernail. Not only was the pizza way overpriced for the quality, but they charge 3.5% for payment by credit card. We will never come back, guaranteed!

The food was INCREDIBLY overpriced and I ordered a ham and cheese sub sandwich for $14 that literally had 3 slices of ham and 2 slices of cheese. Even to-go was charged a gratuity fee. Overcooked chicken tenders, watered down drinks. Just bad.
