Our family went to Barn 34 last week for breakfast. The reviews, and the items on the menu, looked very appealing. We were really looking forward to trying a new place. Unfortunately, it was a VERY VERY disappointing experience.
We arrived at Barn 34 approximately 8:15am.
They opened at 8am.
They have a very small parking lot, and it was already full.
Paid $8 for parking, across the street.
The wait was not too long, approximately 20 minutes for a table. We each ordered something different.
Lobster Benedict: very bland, one egg was cold, the other barely warm. English muffins were tough and cold. Lobster was flavorless and overcooked .
Home fries: cold and flavorless.
Creamed chip beef: barely warm, bland and very salty. Surprised to find onions in the chip beef.
Very underwhelming.
Home fries: cold and flavorless as well.
French toast: absolutely no flavor, also, barely warm.
Bacon: asked for it be crispy; however, it was chewy and undercooked.
Overall it was a very disappointing experience. I sincerely do not like leaving a bad review; however, the experience was so bad., that I had to express our family’s disappointment, in what appeared to be a very nice place to spend part of our limited vacation time.

Portobello Mushroom Eggs Benedict was tasty. The mushroom was used as an English muffin & added a nice earthy flavor to the dish.

Barn 34 was absolutely incredible! 20/10 highly recommend if your in ocean City Maryland!
Our waitress Emily upstairs took great care of us and was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed!

Not a great experience. Service was not good. Restaurant staff should yield to guests on stairs and in passageways- it’s just hospitality. My guest and I were separated by a food runner cutting between us
Our server did fully feature us which we appreciated. However, the rest of the experience was rushed and impersonal & the table next to us was at least a 15 minute missed greet. Our server didn’t check in after our food hit the table. Asked another server for boxes who seemed annoyed to have to help a table that wasn’t hers. Someone started bussing our table as we were getting up.
Food was mid, the grits were so bland they tasted like nothing. Everything was generally under-seasoned.

My teenage boys had chicken and waffles. My wife and I had the bacon wrapped dates. She had the smoked salmon bagel with caprese salad and I had the fish Tacos. Holy cow! Everything was amazing and it was hands down the best dining we had on our vacation. This is a must stop restaurant but you'll probably end up comparing every other restaurant to it if you go too early into your vacation. Enjoy!

Food was good. Have an issue paying $5.50 for juice that isn’t fresh squeezed but that may be just me. Would be 4.5 stars if I had that option.
