I have been having Desserts By Rita do my cakes for over 15 years and my family \\u0026 friends have grown to have high expectations at any event I host. Recently, Rita baked for my daughter’s wedding in April, my dad’s 80th Birthday Party in May and my daughter’s Baby Shower in June! Many guest would say “I hope you are having the same bakery as you did at the wedding” and many said these are the best cakes I have ever tasted! I visited Rita’s and I thought their product was rather “pricey” but I would try it anyway. I purchased 3 “orange cake” cupcakes…… they in fact were yellow cup cakes with orange flavored icing so I was very disappointed

Our family enjoyed a coconut pineapple cake from DBR and we all agreed this was one of the best cakes we've ever had. It was so, so good. I personally don't gravitate towards sweets, which means most cakes are only enjoyed until the "this is too sweet for me bite." This cake, however, is the perfect balance of sweet, moist, and most importantly, delicious! For locals and visitors coming to OCMD, our family collectively suggest you look no further for all-things-cake-related. Thank you, Rita!

We’ve been getting cakes and cupcakes here for more than 30 years. Even since we’ve moved away, my son doesn’t consider his birthday complete without a cake from Rita’s. Everything is amazing and it seems like they keep coming up with new deliciousness every-time we visit.

Bad customer service from the owner. I called to inquire about a birthday cake and they were just closing the shop for the day. The owner obviously had a long day of baking cakes because every question I asked about what a cake might look like or the sizes and flavors she kept telling me she couldn’t describe it for me and was being very rude with me over the phone. When I told her I didn’t have Facebook and couldn’t go look at her pictures she responded “Awe that’s a shame” in a condescending tone. I was really surprised the owner of the store would talk to me in such a way. I left the conversation feeling really terrible because of how rudely she treated me. I wouldn’t recommend Rita cakes because of the poor customer service. You can find other cake shops with owners and associates nearby that are kind and respectful to you.

Cakes are good, but $90 for a 10 inch and $60 for a 6 inch round OUT OF THE CASE?!?? You've GOT to be kidding me!! Been buying cakes from here for years, not anymore!!!

I went to Desserts by Rita for the first time yesterday, to purchase a birthday cake. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a raspberry almond shortbread tart. It was incredible and a far cry from a normal, dry birthday cake! The birthday guests loved it! I look forward to going there again!

I was in Ocean city celebrating my moms birthday and I researched and found Rita's. The cake got GLOWING reviews from even non-cake eaters in my family! It was moist and delicious! To make it even better, the pickup was easy, and the people were so friendly!! Thank you!

Ordered a cake for a 60th Birthday.... All I can say is I could of went to the Supermarket and got a better cake for much less. The Birthday Girl was very disappointed and so was the guest. I was too ashamed to tell them what I paid for the cake. I will never return or recommend them to anyone. WORSE EVER!!!
