We went here for the very first time today for family dinner on Easter. We had the pleasure of having Matt as our server, he provided us with amazing service and did it with a smile on his face the entire time. He never hesitated to run to grab us crabs, refills, etc. He checked on us constantly to make sure that we didn’t need anything. He was such a pleasant server and made our experience top tier. The food and drinks were also very good. We got the all you can eat snow crabs and blue crabs and they were very good. Highly recommend this place and their staff.
Great local crab house! We enjoyed the fresh crabs and atmosphere. The waitress was very kind, and they are a dog friendly restaurant (they even provide a dog bowl tableside for water)! Our pup gives 5 paws! ?Kid-friendliness: Their kids menu even has crabs to crack & eat. Our kids loved it.
Ate here off season. Two soups. A garden salad. Clam strip appetizer and 10 steamed clams, almost $80 with tip. Service was marginal. Ordered New England clam chowder, brought Cream of Crab soup. Bacon bits for the salad was a cup with pieces of fat. Just not worth it. Can't imagine how bad it is during the busy season.

Genuinely the worst food of my life. Service was fine but the food was terrible. Don’t get the crab dip. Eating here made my friends and I cancel our night stay and go home after only being in the city for a couple of hours.

Super expensive place for seafood. Clam chowder was just okay and was very small. Fish and chips were very expensive for one piece of heavily breaded fish. The entrees were in the $40 or higher level. If you’re on an unlimited budget then this might be your best option.

We loved it. Baltimorean's here so we know crabs. The crabs were full and seasoned to perfection. The sides were awesome too. We loved it. Our waiter was Russian I believe and spoke broken English but he was EXCELLENT! He tried so hard to make our meal great and he succeeded. We were on vacation in October and we will be back next year. No frills crab house. We loved it.

We were in OC over the wknd and I wanted crabs and a good drink and we were at the Doubletree so convenient. Went to Higgins. Big mistake. There was a lovely bartender with an accent. I didn't catch her name. She knew absolutely nothing about drinks. My hubby and I asked for two Cadillac margaritas. I have never in my life seen someone mix grand marnier in the drink. We walked her through it and still horrible. I regrettably sent it back. The crab dip was some of the runniest I've seen or tasted. It had claw meat instead of lump. I sent it back. My hubby got wings that he tried to get through. Lovely people but I should have stuck to the other reviews to only crabs. Unfortunately I didn't get any crabs. I lost my appetite before I could order. Wouldn't return.

We were in town from NY for a lil vacay and we decided to stop for a bite. Well the place didn't disappoint we enjoyed the crabs and the drinks and hospitality from the young lady the at front who turned out to be our waitress who took our order and made sure we had what we needed. Definitely plan on returning.

WOW! We were absolutely blown away by this place. We were looking for seafood and found Higgins on Trip Advisor. We took a chance and stopped in. It took a little while to get seated so became a little hesitant. A nice gentleman came over and apologized for the wait and said they were down a hostess that evening. He sat us and immediately took our drink orders and our orders shortly after that. We had the scallops and surf and turf (steak and crab cake). I think the scallops were the best I have ever had. My husband loved the steak and he said the crab cake was amazing! We both loved that the corn on the cob was still in the husk. I highly recommend Higgins! We can't wait to go back next year!
