Liquid Assets Reviews
We were told the wait would be 1 hr and it wasn’t. Manager then approached us an apologized but still wasnt able to seat us. He sat a 2 top with a baby at an obvious 4 top. The bald manager is a DICK and I’ll never visit this place again.
It's always a challenge going out for a bite to eat in OC in the off season as you never know what you are going to get. After reading reviews and looking at menus, I decided to check out Liquid Assets and what a great decision that turned out to be. management sat at the bar, trying to contact future employees "don't forget about the pretty girl from Fagers " waitress never asked what we were drinking. had to ask for a glass of wine and when she brought that, had to ask for a drink for my husband. Chimimichurri tasted like straight up pine cones. took if off the bill without being asked. if you have $60 items on the menu, staff needs to be on point

Liquid Assets is a unique restaurant located within a liquor store in a shopping center, offering excellent food and generous portions at reasonable prices. The menu features a variety of dishes, including a delightful monkfish and risotto, and a decadent donut ice cream sandwich for dessert. Customers have praised the attentive service, especially the staff's knowledge and confidence, and the option to purchase drinks to-go with a meal receipt discount. The restaurant is a popular spot for casual lunches and special occasions like a wedding anniversary. The atmosphere is cozy, with a stone wall back room filled with old books that create a feeling of dining at a friend's house. The staff is professional and attentive, making sure guests feel never rushed. The food is seasonal, with classics such as steak tartar and crabcakes, and recent specials like Wagyu New York strip with truffle butter and frites, along with a kale salad topped with grilled shrimp, have received high praise. The grilled shrimp are juicy and perfectly cooked, and the large salad is very filling. During peak season, it can be busy and wait times may be longer, but the experience is worth it. The food and service are often rated as some of the best around, with dishes like Caesar salad impressing even those unsure at first, thanks to the inviting pirate cove-like atmosphere. Overall, the quality and atmosphere make it a highly recommended destination.
