Only 2 stars for our New Years Eve experience. First our server was great. Attentive and tries to make things ok but she didn't control the kitchen which is where the issue was. Ordered the special Prime Rib. Did not ask how I wanted it prepared ( should have been a red flag). Came out rare and cold. The meat and the plate were cold. Sent it back. Second try was only a little warmer but at least the plate was warm. At that point I started to think about how I could take this meat home and cook it myself. Staff knew of my dissatisfaction. Comped drinks and soup. But overall a disappointing experience

First the atmosphere was not at all what we expected. I guess we expected views. They have none except the side street. The overall vibe is mid-range hotel breakfast bar. Artwork was wrapped with foil paper for the holidays. IOW minimal effort to create a festive mood. We could see there were problems when we entered and one of the hosts came back to his station with a Cesar salad. He sat down to eat at the check-in area while the hostess seated us. Our server was very pleasant and seemed to be making an effort. But it was clear they were short-staffed. Our two glasses of pinot grigio came out as Pinot noir. Since we were a party of four, we told her we'd take the Pinot noir and she came back with the Pinot grigio. One person in the party ordered crab cake on a Cesar salad. He was served Chicken Chessapeake. The server did replace the wrong entree with the correct one in fairly short order. However, given the two errors, I would have expected some compensation on the bill. True, we were not charged for the Pinot noirs we did not order. But usually a nice restaurant comps patrons for in-house errors. We tipped the young lady generously because she was clearly struggling to keep up, and it wasn't her fault that the management was either absent or invisible. To put this in some perspective, we dined at another OC restaurant the night before named for an Iberian country, had magnificent views, excellent food, wonderful service, visits from multiple servers and managers while dining, and we spent less. Marlin Moon needs a manager on site, and that manager should be there to make sure everything flows smoothly. The absence of any visible human to expedite and smooth over any mistakes was a glaring flaw at this price point.

Just underwhelming from top to bottom. The food was under seasoned although the staff was friendly. But not attentive

the Thanksgiving Day brunch was fine, but limited choices, too crowded and rather underwhelming.

My wife and I are fans of the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by everything served as part of the Thanksgiving buffet. The only thing I didn't care for were the oysters, I also felt the turkey was a bit dry, but nothing a delicious gravy didn't fix. Other than that, everything else on the menu, the drinks, and the service was wonderful. Will definitely do this again.

Maybe it's was because it's the off season (though not really an excuse), but this was by far the worst food I had in Ocean City.

Ordered the crab cake with risotto and it was probably the worst risotto I've ever eaten. Risotto should be creamy, it should run on the plate if tilted. This had the consistency of playdough.

A thick, pasty, lukewarm heap of reheated cheesy rice with some room temperature peppers dropped on it, and a crabcake that was still cold in the middle from when they reheated it. ....Yum.

2 stars because at least the wine wasn't corked and the server seemed like a nice kid.

Our server was outstanding, accommodating, attentive and very personable. Great cocktails for sure. We had the Bourbon Old Fashion and a Mango Margherita, both of which are recommended. The calamari app was crispy like popcorn shrimp with two very tasty sauces. The Caesar, to be honest, had very fresh and crispy romain lettuce with a few slivers of cheese but was not so flavorful. The salad needed more slivers of cheese and real (homemade) croutons. The dressing was deficient in flavor and character. To me, it had no resemblance to proper ceasar dressing. Our entrees - crab cake with risotto and shrimp and mussel risotto - were equally very, very good. No complaints whatsoever with our dinner choices. Dessert, a berry pie with vanilla ice cream, was excellent. I am not normally a dessert eater, but I kind of wish I had ordered my own. All things considered, We would definitly return.

This restaurant was eh. It was our wedding anniversary and we noted that in our reservation. Nothing was mentioned about it. Food was just ok. Service was just ok.

Discovered this place for the first time last night when we came into town for a mini staycation after getting married this weekend. Staff was so friendly and all around amazing. Husband and I agreed, it was easily the best meal either of us had ever had. Will be back!

We were looking for a restaurant suitable for a date night. great food, excellent service, good seats, multiple menu choices, and a nice vibe. Marlin Moon has all that. The chef was excellent. The subtle flavors for seafood is difficult to master and all dishes were great.
