Place use to be a diamond in that old strip mall.. just ain’t there for first time in last few years and it was terrible. Food was questionable and service was meh

We started with the Nachos and Salty Edamame, and let me tell you, these aren't your average appetizers. The Nachos were a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor and a creative twist, perfect amounts of spicy mayo and eel sauce to complement the fresh bites of tuna and crispy wontons. The Salty Edamame offered that perfect savory bite. Both were a testament to Nori's commitment to quality even in their opening acts.
Next we embarked on a sushi adventure. Following the staff's brilliant suggestions, we sampled several of their specialty sushi rolls, each a masterpiece of fresh ingredients and expert craftsmanship. The flavors were vibrant, the textures exquisite, and the presentation, impeccable. We also ventured into their vegan roll selection, and we were absolutely thrilled. Often, vegan options can feel like an afterthought, but Nori's vegan rolls were just as inventive and delicious as their non-vegan counterparts, proving that their culinary creativity knows no bounds.
Each and every roll we tried was, without exaggeration, very tasty. Nori has perfected the art of sushi, offering a diverse menu that caters to all preferences without sacrificing quality or innovation.
In a town with many dining options, Nori stands out as an extraordinary destination. It's more than just a meal; it's an experience curated by an excellent team in a delightful setting, leaving you with a lingering sense of satisfaction and a strong desire to return. Nori in Ocean City is, quite simply, a must-visit.

Update: one of the other owners reached out to me to apologize and said this is not normal. He offered to do something special for my family the next time we’re in town. Although I will not take him up on the offer, I appreciate the gesture and the call.

Owner doesn’t care. I would not recommend.

The co-owner was our server. We went in with 2 kids and two adults. We’re huge sushi eaters and were excited to have sushi on our vacation. The food was ok. Most things are a bit salty but ok. The waiter/ owner rushed us through ordering even tho the restaurant was 2/3 empty. He rushed us so much that I had to go up to find him in order to place an order and asked another waiter to place another order for us. They were out of two things on the menu that we ordered.

He rushed through the specials. We ordered 4 soups, 3 appetizers and 3 meals. Everything showed up at the table at once. We complained but nothing was done. We gave back the soups (only one had been eaten), we picked at the rest. Not a single apology from the waiter/owner. Nothing. When we got the check, he had not discounted a thing., not even the soups we never ate. At the end, he brought the check and said ‘thanks’. No apology as if nothing happened. Lesson learned: the owner doesn’t give a hoot about you - just pay your bill. $130 lesson.

Standard sushi fare. Online order was nice and you could add or subtract toppings on sushi. However the spicy tuna was just regular tuna with spicy mayo on top which was a big disappointment. Not a fan of mayo on sushi

This place is awesome. The sushi is delicious, the staff and service are always 5 star. This is a great family owned/ operated business. You won’t be disappointed!

No unparalleled hospitality. No friendly eye contact. No friendly greetings.

The sushi is delicious. It’s a shame that every time i have came, the girl working the front is racist. She visibly changes her tone when speaking to others vs me. She also refuses to give me the correct change back until i ask her to do so which i think is weird. Haven’t had a problem dining in otherwise.
