This place was a great discovery for us, as we found it on accident after a youth soccer game. LOTS of flavor options and types of treats, too. Our family got ice cream, dairy free ice cream, and a couple different falvored Italian ices (you can even mix and match flavors, which the kids enjoyed), and we all enjoyed our choices immensely. There was still Gelati, milkshakes, frozen custard, and Jersey pos to choose from on the cold side as well as several other warm snack options (pretzel bites, and funnel fries, for instance).
This is a great place with delicious - and abundant - offerings. There's something to fit everyone's taste. Do yourself a favor and go!

We come to Carmens regularly...and there is a reason for that...its fabulous! We love the gelati (ice with custard for those non Jersey types). The line moves fairly quickly and it's not overly expensive for a summer time treat. We typically get smalls and for the 4 of us, its less than $25. There are several locations. The Rockville location can be fairly busy, but the Olney location is generally much quieter, so if you are between the stores, this one may be a better option. Enjoy!

We love Carmen's Ice, even more than Rita's. Last weekend on Jaden Day, we arrived at 8:40 pm and joined the long line with our out of town guest. We reached our turn at 9:03 and were reprimanded because they closed at 9:00. I finally mentioned that we were in line at 8:30, and she continued to rattle on and on.
Repeatedly the staff told customers, "we don't have that because we truned our oven off", even before 9:00. Poor customer service, which is unusual.
However, after dinner the next day, our guest wanted to return to get another grape with ice cream. She said the grape was the best she'd ever had. We made sure we avoided the bewitching closing time.

Stop complaining about making jersey Shore mocha or take it off the menu“ Hi there, Keith! I am so sorry to see your post about the Jersey Shore Mocha! Can you please let me know what time of day it was? It is a little more challenging to make them in Olney, due to having to use a "manual press" espresso maker, unlike the espresso machine we have in Rockville. We have also had some scheduling challenges, but, again, we should not complain about it to our customers! If you are ever in Rockville, ask for me, Boodie, and I will make you for free! (PS...if I am not here, tell them to reach out to me) I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and again, any feedback on time of day, so I can follow up with the staff!”Hey, Boodie. This has been happening for over a year, so, not quite sure I can pinpoint a specific time and place, but we really only go at night on the weekends. It happens literally every time we order it. Last time, one of the young employees just laughed and said “we’re not making shakes”. So, yeah. A follow up with the staff is probably your best course of action.
