“I went here to have dinner on May 19, 2026, but I left before I received my dessert. I just forgot. I already paid the bill. I went back on June 07, 2026 for another dinner. I told the waitress I did not get my dessert the last time. She trusted me and gave my dessert. This shows good character. Some restaurants would probably be very anal about it and ask for proof or something, but no questions asked, she just obliged. Thank you.”

“Best bowls, smoothies, and staff around! I go to Playa Bowls every day I’m in Olney. Which is like 5 days a week since that’s where I work. Highly recommend! My go-tos are the Kowabunga smoothie with Almond Butter added and Power Acai bowls. Also they have cool stickers.”

“Beautiful spot. Lots of space - even if the parking lot looks full, you can bring your own blanket! Kids are obsessed with the playground. Lone Oak Lager is fantastic but they have a whole lot of other brews as well. Pretzels with the beer cheese dip are insanely good.”

“This place was a great discovery for us, as we found it on accident after a youth soccer game. LOTS of flavor options and types of treats, too. Our family got ice cream, dairy free ice cream, and a couple different falvored Italian ices (you can even mix and match flavors, which the kids enjoyed), and we all enjoyed our choices immensely. There was still Gelati, milkshakes, frozen custard, and Jersey pos to choose from on the cold side as well as several other warm snack options (pretzel bites, and funnel fries, for instance).

This is a great place with delicious - and abundant - offerings. There's something to fit everyone's taste. Do yourself a favor and go!”

“Our go to affordable Chinese takeout. They don’t skimp on the food and always fill it to the brim. We always order their pork fried rice, chefs delight, and fried dumplings.
This time we ordered their crispy beef and salt & pepper fish.
Crispy beef - It is thinly sliced and the beef is dry. However, we like to order it because of the crunchy texture and the sweet and spicy flavor.

Salt & pepper fish- Well fried and not oily. It has a very good mild jalapeño flavor.

Delightful combination of finely cut crunchy fresh vegetables mixed with thin soft noodles and mixed stir fried seafood flavored with a delicious seasoning that complimented without overpowering the food. The serving was plentiful and I even took leftovers home to enjoy later.”

“My family and I have been a big fan of the Mama Lucia franchise for more than three decades, and we’ve always considered it our go-to place for authentic NY style pizza. In recent years, I’ve been getting my pies from their Olney restaurant, where I met Javier, who is their pizzaiolo (pizza chef). Not too long ago, Javier started offering a square pan pizza called Grandma’s Special. It is a carefully crafted pie with moz cheese, simple crushed tomato sauce, and basil, which makes for a very traditional and authentic pizza. While it takes more time to make (~45min), the wait is certainly worth it: what you get is a thin, airy, crispy crust, simple and balanced ingredients, and the taste is phenomenal! It reminds me of the street pizza in Italy, and the pizza my pop used to make for our family when I was a kid. Javier takes much pride in his craft, and by adding this pizza to the menu, the has raised the Mama Lucia bar even higher. Next time you visit their Olney restaurant, ask Javier and give it a try; you will not be disappointed.”
