“The restaurant was impeccably clean, very cool decor. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and a good price for the portions. They were playing some early 2000s hits which really added to the atmosphere. Drinks were delicious and perfectly balanced. So many food and drink options. Food came out quickly and hot. Best crab rangoons i’ve ever tried!!! i prefer a tempura sushi and the shrimp tempura was perfect. Our serve was very on top of checking in and was prompt with bringing boxes, the bill etc. the bidder was also right on top of things, he’d cleared the table before we even finished signing the bill. Overall, a wonderful experience and i will definitely be back!“

“The maiden steps of Kusshi were a bit wobbly but things are really starting to turn around with the help of newly hired creative director Clint. The ramen and karaage are noticeably much better than what they were before. Deep savory ramen broth from hours of simmering. Juicy chicken karaage from a long overnight rest in marinade. The sushi rice significantly better than from when Kusshi first started.
Service is fast and polite. The atmosphere is lively and casual.“

“This place was an amazing find. We had 5 or 6 rolls and they were all really, really good. The pricing is excellent, especially compared to some of the other sushi places we frequent. It's a small space and we sat at the bar, but it makes up for mediocre atmosphere with great food and service. If they offered an IPA their score would be even higher. We will definitely be back. Oh, and there is plenty of free surface parking, super easy.“

“Kema offers the best maki/handrolls in unique styles in Maryland. We are lucky to have Kema in Cabin John and do not need to drive up to Gaithersburg. My recommendation is black magic! Lunch bento is always special. Don't forget having parfait for dessert.“

“First time, ordered pick up. I accidentally ordered too few rolls (ordered 6, didn’t know I needed 8? for a platter) but the staff still went out of their way to accommodate my request for a sushi platter, so 5 stars for service! The pick up did take about 10 min longer than expected so I recommend adding in buffer time, but the food was delicious and worked perfectly for the lunch party I was taking it to. Reasonable price, aesthetic, and exceeded my expectations!“

“Our sorority held a fundraiser with Kusshi recently, and not only were they easy to work with and incredibly generous, but the service was helpful and quick, and the food was beautifully plated, fresh and delicious. Def recommend going for a nice night out!“

“No frills hole in a wall place. Great and welcoming staff. Great service. First time here and I got the spring garden roll and my friend and I split the green bamboo roll. One of the only places that I have been too that offers more than 1 type of veggie roll; plenty of veggie maki rolls. Rolls are large and they are generous with the filling and toppings. Got a bottled green tea. They do not serve alcohol. They accept credit card. I will absolutely be returning and telling everyone I know about this place. Next to Great shopping and there is plenty of parking!
One suggestion is to have a bottle of Sriracha on hand just to add a bit of spice to the veggie rolls.“

“Came in for the first time for the Honkai Rail star collaboration but found myself overly enjoying my experience! Special thanks to Rachel for her thoughtful and swift service, my parents loved her.😊 10/10 would recommend dining in!
Edit: Realized I didn’t say anything about the food haha! Everything I had was delicious and I’m sure my family agreed based on the amount we ate 🤦🏽♂ My favorite was the seared salmon, it’s AMAZING! Kind of sad I didn’t get to try the specials as they were out of stock but the rest of the menu makes up for it! Don’t skip out on the tantanmen ramen either 😉🔥“

“I had been waiting 3 years ever since the sign went up saying this was coming to my area. Finally for my birthday I got the chance to go and it was not a let down. The front of house staff was very friendly and seated my party immediately. The waitress took no time at all to get our drinks and come back with them and take our complete order. We put everything in at the same time and they did an excellent job of pacing the salads, appetizers, and main meal. The food was absolutely fantastic and gorgeous to look at. I will be returning so we can sit for a hibachi show! The only thing is I slyly mentioned it was my birthday hoping to get a song, but that did not happen lol.“

1. Sushi and ramen were really good! The volcano roll is fresh, decorated, and flavorful! The sweet potatoes roll with cream cheese is phenomenal! The Karrage was super crispy and crunchy!
2. Price is very good for everything we got!
3. Quantity is a lot for what you get while maintaining quality
4. Staff here are nice.
5. Food came out relatively quick“

“A very nice hidden gem. The age tofu was a little overcooked, and the sauce was weak, but the sushi was fresh and the rice cooked well (firm yet soft and nicely seasoned). The miso soup was rich as well. The waitress was very friendly and patient and the restaurant peaceful. I ate very well.“

“This is an underrated restaurant, and I'm surprised it's not always packed! The seafood is incredibly fresh, with tender and succulent texture, and both the cooking methods and seasoning are spot on. Every dish is delicious, highly recommended!“

“The hibachi shrimp bento box was really good. Everything was nicely seasoned. The dumplings and spring rolls were fried but not greasy. The California roll was good too. The quality of their sticky rice for the hibachi was great and they give you a lot. Service was quick and it’s made fresh to order. They ask you if you want teriyaki sauce on top of the hibachi before serving it. All plates come with a side of yum yum sauce. Quiet atmosphere, not the best plaza or neighborhood but it’s always busy and looks like they sell a lot. Will be back.“

“I LOVEEEE this place !!! I go here maybe 1-2 times a week. It’s amazing. The salmon avocado, spicy tuna and spicy salmon are my favs , shrimp tempura is a honorable mention but they’re all so good and fresh every single time. I’ve been coming here since they opened and I’ve never been disappointed! As long as I live in this area they have a forever customer! Never had a tummy ache or gotten sick from this place it’s just always perfect ! The miso soup and veggie rolls are really good as well.“

My first review was not good because of the service. This time the service was excellent.
We sat outside which is a huge plus in my book. I love sitting outdoors in nice days. The tables were clean and the atmosphere was nice.
The food was very good. It always has been. It was just that the service sucked, but now that it's in par this place is a great option for sushi in Bethesda.“
