The chicken katsu is cooked perfectly, crunchy outside and tasty inside but not dry. The sushi is amazing, I had the spicy tuna which had a good kick to it and the daily special which was the Goldfish Roll today. GOLDFISH ROLL WAS AMAZING!! “This place was an amazing find. We had 5 or 6 rolls and they were all really, really good. The pricing is excellent, especially compared to some of the other sushi places we frequent. It's a small space and we sat at the bar, but it makes up for mediocre atmosphere with great food and service. If they offered an IPA their score would be even higher. We will definitely be back. Oh, and there is plenty of free surface parking, super easy.“

We also really like the service and the food at their location in Tysons Corner, though the space is a little tight and on two floors.

Bethesda is my least favorite location and won’t be going back because of the service.“

I accidentally ordered too few rolls (ordered 6, didn’t know I needed 8? for a platter) but the staff still went out of their way to accommodate my request for a sushi platter, so 5 stars for service! The pick up did take about 10 min longer than expected so I recommend adding in buffer time, but the food was delicious and worked perfectly for the lunch party I was taking it to. Reasonable price, aesthetic, and exceeded my expectations!“

“No frills hole in a wall place. Great and welcoming staff. Great service. First time here and I got the spring garden roll and my friend and I split the green bamboo roll. One of the only places that I have been too that offers more than 1 type of veggie roll; plenty of veggie maki rolls. Rolls are large and they are generous with the filling and toppings. Got a bottled green tea. They do not serve alcohol. They accept credit card. I will absolutely be returning and telling everyone I know about this place. Next to Great shopping and there is plenty of parking!

One suggestion is to have a bottle of Sriracha on hand just to add a bit of spice to the veggie rolls.“

“Kema offers the best maki/handrolls in unique styles in Maryland. We are lucky to have Kema in Cabin John and do not need to drive up to Gaithersburg. My recommendation is black magic! Lunch bento is always special. Don't forget having parfait for dessert.“

“I had been waiting 3 years ever since the sign went up saying this was coming to my area. Finally for my birthday I got the chance to go and it was not a let down. The front of house staff was very friendly and seated my party immediately. The waitress took no time at all to get our drinks and come back with them and take our complete order. We put everything in at the same time and they did an excellent job of pacing the salads, appetizers, and main meal. The food was absolutely fantastic and gorgeous to look at. I will be returning so we can sit for a hibachi show! The only thing is I slyly mentioned it was my birthday hoping to get a song, but that did not happen lol.“

“I’ve been coming here for over a year now, and they never disappoint!! I’ve tried all the noodle options they have, and one thing I love most about this place is that I can choose the soup base and the type of noodles I want!!

I’ve also tried most of their rolls, and they’re all delicious!! One thing I especially love about this place is that they actually know how to prepare Ikura. It doesn’t smell fishy at all and tastes fantastic!

“This is an underrated restaurant, and I'm surprised it's not always packed! The seafood is incredibly fresh, with tender and succulent texture, and both the cooking methods and seasoning are spot on. Every dish is delicious, highly recommended!“

“A very nice hidden gem. The age tofu was a little overcooked, and the sauce was weak, but the sushi was fresh and the rice cooked well (firm yet soft and nicely seasoned). The miso soup was rich as well. The waitress was very friendly and patient and the restaurant peaceful. I ate very well.“

The salmon avocado, spicy tuna and spicy salmon are my favs , shrimp tempura is a honorable mention but they’re all so good and fresh every single time. “The hibachi shrimp bento box was really good. Everything was nicely seasoned. The dumplings and spring rolls were fried but not greasy. The California roll was good too. The quality of their sticky rice for the hibachi was great and they give you a lot. Service was quick and it’s made fresh to order. They ask you if you want teriyaki sauce on top of the hibachi before serving it. All plates come with a side of yum yum sauce. Quiet atmosphere, not the best plaza or neighborhood but it’s always busy and looks like they sell a lot. Will be back.“
