I have only been here a few times. On this visit, I was in the area and decided I wanted a gelati. I enjoyed one at their other location earlier in the month and thought it would be fitting to get the same size here, but different flavors. Here, a small gelati is $6. What I got may not have made sense together, but it didn't matter to me as gelatis are growing on me. For the custard, I got Nutella & Butterscotch. You can get it separately or in a swirl. I opted for the latter. For the Italian ice, I got cherry, and it came with bits of cherry pieces as well. For those that don't know what a gelati is: it's custard in the cup first, then Italian ice in the middle, and then more custard on top. The concoction of flavors together was great. I enjoyed it. Who does not love Nutella or Butterscotch...yum. I enjoyed the cherry pieces as well within the cherry shaved ice.

Stop complaining about making jersey Shore mocha or take it off the menu“ Hi there, Keith! I am so sorry to see your post about the Jersey Shore Mocha! Can you please let me know what time of day it was? It is a little more challenging to make them in Olney, due to having to use a "manual press" espresso maker, unlike the espresso machine we have in Rockville. We have also had some scheduling challenges, but, again, we should not complain about it to our customers! If you are ever in Rockville, ask for me, Boodie, and I will make you for free! (PS...if I am not here, tell them to reach out to me) I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and again, any feedback on time of day, so I can follow up with the staff!”Hey, Boodie. This has been happening for over a year, so, not quite sure I can pinpoint a specific time and place, but we really only go at night on the weekends. It happens literally every time we order it. Last time, one of the young employees just laughed and said “we’re not making shakes”. So, yeah. A follow up with the staff is probably your best course of action.

As someone who has always been a fan of a good chocolate vanilla swirl, their frozen custard is incredibly delicious, with its rich and creamy texture that's impossible to resist. What's really impressive is the wide variety of Italian ice flavors they offer - it's clear they're dedicated to providing options for every palate. But don't fret; the staff's willingness to provide samples so you can explore their array of Italian ice flavors is truly commendable. It's evident they take pride in making sure you find your perfect match. Personally, I can't get enough of their frozen custard, but it's great to know there's something for everyone. Not only is their frozen custard a delight, but the fact that they're located near a park makes it an ideal spot to enjoy their treats. The park setting adds a wonderful touch to the experience, providing a relaxing atmosphere to savor the deliciousness. Five stars for the fantastic frozen treats and the diverse selection!

I happened across this sweet Italian Ice stand after a long, hot day at the Sandy Spring Adventure Park! What a refreshing end to a hard athletic day. The many many flavors were hard to choose from but I went with something unusual: Spicy Mango, with a cool Coconut compliment.! It was just what the endorphins ordered! But more importantly, the Staff was so friendly and helpful and when I asked for a sample, they were gracious! I can't wait to recommend Carmine Italian Ice, in Olney MD, and can't wait to come back... and even though I'm more than an hour and a half away, I'll be back!

Great place for dessert! Staff are friendly and nice. Always a great selection of custard and Italian ice. I wish they would have some flavors that are also at the Rockville location such as the honey milk.

I had never known about Carmen's before, because it was a little off the beaten path. The store is unassuming and only the walk up window is open for business- but what a business! Tremendous variety of ice creams, ices and gelato. I was really pleased with the selection, and also noted that a lot of local kids also frequented Carmens.The prices were fair, and the quality was very high. I was really pleased.
