We used to really love to eat here. Since COVID it has really deteriorated. Only about 1/3 of tables were filled. With all that the mussels came out cold and tough. Bread was stale. Just will not go back. What a pity
Great place for a birthday celebration. They paced the service very well. Never felt rushed but we were well taken care of. Mussels were delicious.
Our food was excellent and our waiter was very attentive and helpful. We had the escargot, the sea bass and the Belgian beef stew and all were delicious. And we loved the great selection of Belgian beers
Delicious food, the cuisine tastes authentic, attentive service, easy reservation process.
The food and service are both EXCELLENT! I'm working my way through all the different offerings of mussels and have enjoyed every one. Just outstanding!
Sound was very loud. Mussels were excellent, but one diner's fish was dry. Service was good.
As always, the food never disappoints. I think I've had every one of their mussel pots, and I still can't come up with a favorite. I like coming here for a girls' night out or before or after the theater, and it is a nice way to finish the evening. Order wine or beer. Choose an appetizer or two. Dive into a mussel pot with friends, and keep the French fries coming. It is all good!
Always try to eat there when in area, usually at Olney Theatre. Food is excellent, prices are reasonable, and service is great. It's a small restaurant, and noise level is high when re capacity. I've never had anything but great food.
Have been several times, the food is always very good. Today we arrived early (4:30pm) and the server was very inexperienced. There was 1 other table (outside) but we were poured tap water from the faucet, watched him do it, then had an entire order taken at once. No drink or appetizer spacing.
The food, as always, was great, mussels bowl was emptied and manager did check in on us. Check arrived, credit card down, bill signed. All good.
Then I got the email receipt and we didn't get the discount on the bottle of wine, no big deal, only $16. Sent a response to the Email I received, from the restaurant, and got a bounce back, not in service.
I really don't care about the $16, but the lackadaisical service and the closed email account will really make me think about going back.

We really enjoy going to this place. Great food and atmosphere! Love their mussels. The only thing we wish for as non-drinkers is if they could have a better selection of non-alcoholic drinks. They only have Cola products. When we go out for a nice dinner we wish they could have some interesting sodas from Belgium. Or we would love some non-alcoholic beer even just one! Nowadays many restaurants see the market for non-drinkers and have included mocktails, non-alcoholic beer, and unique sodas or lemonade. We hope that Mannequ Ps will expand this selection for us non-drinkers. Really enjoy this place and would love to see this option included!

Got to try Mannequin Pis while out for an anniversary dinner. We went on a Wednesday so it was not busy at all for dinner. By how good this place was, I would imagine it gets pretty busy on the weekends.
The food was outstanding, and the service was top tier. Many items and tastes from the Belgium region. The muscle pots were fantastic. I'm glad we stopped in and will for sure be back.

We've been several times, both to Mannequin Pis and to Belgium. Mannequin Pis has wonderful, authentic Belgian food (mussels!!!) and a great selection of Belgian beer and Belgian chocolate desserts. Can't wait to go back.
At 4pm, the restaurant was very quiet! We shared a kilo of Provencal mussels and profiteroles for dessert. We also had the lobster bisque and potato leak soup. Everything was very good, though a bit too much rosemary in the mussels. Excellent service. We will return for lunch to try sandwiches, bier and maybe the sausage.
We went for an early lunch because of a doctor's appointment and arrived when the restaurant was supposed to be open. No one was around though the front door was propped open. We walked further in and even hollered out til finally after about 15 minutes someone finally appeared. My husband had mussels and was very satisfied with them. But I don't want to go back.
We greatly enjoyed our dinner at Mannequin Pis. We went on a Saturday night, and they were doing a great business! We had lobster bisque, the frisee salad, wild mushroom ragout, merguez sausage with sauerkraut, steak-frites, crème brulée, and profiteroles for dessert. Everything was very tasty and the service was very good.
