We have eaten here for a long time. Recently, we started doing pickup and we realized that the takeout servings appear to be MUCH smaller than when we dined in. FOR THE SAME PRICE!

We suspect that this is the result of them paying fees to delivery services. To make up for those fees, they reduced portion sizes for everyone else who pick up their own meals.

How do you feel about that? We feel ripped off. We spent about $80 for three dishes, and it's barely enough food for two.

Nirvana has lost two good customers. They have plenty of great competitors.

Typical love towards non indian customers for the sake of tip.
None of the dish have the taste of Indian recipe, just for a sake to satisfy non-Indians. Dont know how they got 4.2 rating.

My first visit to this establishment and it will not be my last. The food was very good.
Presentation and taste were first class.
I can certainly recommend this restaurant to my friends.

I placed an order over the phone and used my husbands name Bradley because he was supposed to be the one picking it up. then the teenager who works there proceeded to laugh on the phone. Then I ended up having to go into to prick it up because he was on the phone with a friend and I walked in said the name for the order and he kept laughing… not too sure what was so funny. This is our first time going there. Absolutely horrible costumer service.

Not traditional Indian cooking, so rather disappointing. However, the people are cordial and the setting, altho mall like, was not unpleasant. Don’t think I’ll be returning as I’m still searching for very traditional, Indian spiced meals…

I've ordered here once before and the food was absolutely wonderful!!!!! So, why the negative review? I called today to order, was immediately placed on hold, fine, whatever, but was on hold with no communication for over 5 minutes. I said HELLO!!! ANYONE THERE, multiple times as you can hear them in the background. Nothing, simple little things like this make me never want to come back. Best of luck, you won't have my business again.

No issue with quality of food but prices are too high for amount served. My big issue is the online ordering. BEWARE AUTOMATIC 20% tip applied to your PICKUP order. Very deceiving and deceptive practice. Have a place-holder for tip, defaulted to $0, if anyone wants to pay extra. Mentioned this to owner on multiple occasions and his first response was that he 'wasn't aware of it', then 'couldn't do anything about it', then pretty much didn't care. Nirvana has since lost me as a customer.

The food was delicious but a couple of things:1. It was a damp, rainy night. The temp inside the restaurant was 61F. We were cold. Even though the food came out hot, the utensils and plates were cold. Our hands got chilly while waiting so we asked for tea. Since we had asked for the thermostat to be raised (but it couldn't be for some odd reason), I thought the tea might have been provided complementary. No. $5 for two. We ate with our winter jackets on like the other guests that night. 1 star for atmosphere.2. Most of their meat dishes are marinated in milk. For the lactose intolerant, there are only 4 or 5 dishes that are vegan - the closest you can get to no milk. These are not indicated on the menu so you have to ask.Like I said, the food was excellent, 4 stars. I loved the chicken korma and daal tarka. My wife thought the alu gobi was a bit too spicy/hot for her liking, but she really likes mild. I didn't mind. But I'd have to recommend you call and ask what the inside temperature is before dining in. Lots of folks were picking up to go, so they could just leave their jackets on too!
