The food was delicious but a couple of things:1. It was a damp, rainy night. The temp inside the restaurant was 61F. We were cold. Even though the food came out hot, the utensils and plates were cold. Our hands got chilly while waiting so we asked for tea. Since we had asked for the thermostat to be raised (but it couldn't be for some odd reason), I thought the tea might have been provided complementary. No. $5 for two. We ate with our winter jackets on like the other guests that night. 1 star for atmosphere.2. Most of their meat dishes are marinated in milk. For the lactose intolerant, there are only 4 or 5 dishes that are vegan - the closest you can get to no milk. These are not indicated on the menu so you have to ask.Like I said, the food was excellent, 4 stars. I loved the chicken korma and daal tarka. My wife thought the alu gobi was a bit too spicy/hot for her liking, but she really likes mild. I didn't mind. But I'd have to recommend you call and ask what the inside temperature is before dining in. Lots of folks were picking up to go, so they could just leave their jackets on too!

Lamb palak always delicious. Very quick service times, food is always hot and ready by rime we get there for pickup.
Nirvana in is a delicious stop for Indian food. We have tried their butter chicken, saag paneer, samosas and many other dishes. They have all been exceptionally tasty. My only real gripe is the portion sizes and price. For the cost of the food, I wish the portions, of proteins in particular was larger but that is my only complaint.
I can’t review the food. We ordered for a belated Christmas dinner on a Thursday’ night. The online estimate was 55 min for delivery. That was fine and reasonable. At 110 min, nearly 2 hours later, we called to ask the status and they said it wasn’t ready yet but needed 10 more minutes because they were busy. We cancelled our order. How does it take 2 hours to prepare and send out samosa, lamb saag and chicken tikka masala? If there was an apology, I wouldn’t write this review but when I said we need ed to cancel, they hung up on us. No good bye to us- no goodbye to them. Good luck with your restaurant .

This is one of my top 3 Indian restaurants in MD. The food always tastes great and the restaurant offers carryout which is nice. I have ordered different things on the menu and always enjoy whatever I get. If you are in the Olney area, then I highly recommend you visit Nirvana.

Super delicious Indian cuisine! I had samosas as an appetizer and butter chicken as my main course. I had recently recommended this restaurant to a friend whose daughter eats gluten-free. When I was describing my meal there, I said I usually order a Mango Lassi to drink. She'd never heard of it. Oh my! You don't know what you're missing. Try one.The young man who served me was polite and efficient. A perfectly attentive server.I love this little gem of a restaurant. A statue of Ganesha, the elephant-headed Hindu god of beginnings, visually greets you when you open the door to this establishment. Once inside, the subdued lighting creates an aura of the exotic and romantic. The staff greets you, welcomes you and makes you feel at home, as you prepare to delight in their delicious Indian cuisine. Bon appétit (sorry, that just came out... I'm French and I don't know the corresponding phrase in the Indian culture)... so discover and enjoy!

Bad attitude. Bad service. Absolutely deserted on a Sunday afternoon. Very inhospitable looking guy at the bar. It seemed as if we were interfering with his afternoon siesta.

The tikka masala and butter chicken are DELICIOUS! Garlic naan was amazing as well. Great service and the food comes out hot and quick. This is my 2nd time and will be back again!
