New owners did a great job rebuilding. Place looks classy. Professional servers and tasty food. Pictures of chicken and crab cake sandwiches.

We’ve been in the Olney area for a few years now and have been eagerly waiting for the return of the Olney Ale House. It’s been under construction since we got here but from the conversations we’ve had about it, it was a great local spot. So, naturally, when we heard it was reopening after a devastating fire we had to make our way there but wanted to give it a few weeks to settle and for any new kinks to be ironed out.
We went tonight and the place was packed. We were told it would be 30-45 min wait for a table of two so we grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited. Pretty decent selection of beer, some interesting craft cocktails, and both red and white wines
We got seated in less time than expected and started with the pig candy (pork belly burnt ends) as an appetizer. Sweet, savory, smokey, sticky. The pickled red onions and jalapeños added a nice refreshing pop. I had a burger and the wife got a cheesesteak.
Hands down the best burger and cheesesteak in Olney!
Since we were already cheating with our dinner choices we decided to go ahead and get dessert too. Bread pudding (à la mode) and Cheesecake. Two very fine desserts. My wife mentioned wishing that the cheesecake was chilled, other than that, no complaints about the meal at all!
Our server, Clarice, was great! 4 out of 5 stars for service is not a knock on her but rather that she needed a bit more help covering the large section. She made her rounds and was always super pleasant and cheerful.
Will absolutely return and, more importantly, recommend the Olney Ale House to anyone looking for some solid eats.

My grandfather owned this restaurant years ago. I visit when I'm missing him. I wish they would open again soon.
This place is not open anymore, it hasn't been open for a while now.
This place is closed they had a fire in a lot of water damage I was there on this day working at this location I do not look for it to reopen after seeing the damage
Been loving it for over 40 years
A year and a half after the Olney Ale House closed from a grease fire, it's still not clear if it will ever re-open. While many "Olney-ites" loved this place, I found it to have poor quality food, but good beer. It was also not a clean place, which probably accounts for the grease fire. No matter how you slice it, bars usually don't have decent food. Hoping the owner sells it to an entrepreneur who can re-model and turn it into a quality restaurant.
I love the ambience and the service is always so friendly. I also love the rotating taps.Update: just tried to go there tonight (12/3/19) and there were several fire trucks there. We didn’t see any smoke or flame but it was definitely closed. I hope all the staff and customers are safe and that you’re open again soon!
I actually like their food and service, good area close to my apartment. The employees are always very welcoming. Will visit here again.
