Overall excellent! They are open until 9pm on Sunday nights, which in Olney is a rarity. It's very useful for late night takeout. The service is always friendly and nice, as it is a family run restaurant. They have other stuff besides seafood, so picky eaters should be happy with the normal fries, tenders, burgers, etc. They do serve alcohol and beer, and have pretty much the same bar from the old Olney Tavern. Overall, it's a very relaxing, easy going place to get a good meal and have a drink or two. It's also family friendly, judging by the crowds. Local independent restaurants like this deserve and earn our support!

Did not have a good experience with our first time here. The vibe is weird, smells bad, and the tables were empty but full of old condiments. The service wasn’t terrible but the food was. The sodas were flat and the appetizer was served cold. Once we got the re-warmed appetizer, the entree came out immediately after. For $19 you get an imitation crab cake with old fries, dry, bitter, coleslaw and a five star sized bill once it arrives. No surprise this place was empty at lunch time.

We called 3 days prior to make sure they’d have crabs on Mothers Day for our family tradition. We were assured they’d have plenty at 3 and when we got there, they said they only had 6 left. Then offered NO apologies or service and to top it off the place smelled like rotten fish. I ? support local businesses that are working hard and providing a good service, but this place is two thumbs down.
No crabs or clams available. We ordered crabcake sandwiches got crab cakes with cold fries. Steamed shrimp were rubbery and tasteless. Smell inside is very bad and needs to be corrected. This is unacceptable for a MD crab house. Avoid.
I ordered the seafood platter at $38. The food was not good, crab cake was at least half breading, etc. I will not be going back. The service was good.

It is a farely small scale restaurant, more if a fast food types.Food quality is below average, though the prices are comparable to other sit down fancy restaurants.Soups don't taste fresh.Creamy crab soup had lumps of corn starch. Served in disposable dishes.Place smells bad, like sewer.Fried shrimp seemed like it was made from frozen shrimp. Again served in paper plates. They would do much better calling it a fast food restaurant and reduce prices by 50%.There are no wait staff. One person does it all.Ambiance is very basic. This was one visit worth to get it out of your system. Never again.
So glad that there’s finally a crab house in the neighborhood. Such a friendly environment and freshly made yummy seafood! Will definitely come back.
My family loves this place... Very picky about our seafood and crabs and the quality is great! They have hefty, meaty crabs and my husband had the very low filler crab cake! Poor reviews were early on and it takes time to get a restaurant going. Must try this place if you love good seafood!!!

The cream of crab soup had very little crab in it, so basically it was cream soup. The tea wasn’t good.Bar was closed. Opened for business before being fully ready.

Great Service! I went there 4 times already including carryout. I always order extra large crabs and they are big like jumbo size. The cream of crab soup is tasty. The soft shell crab and oyster are delicious and size is big. My family and I really like this place.
Ok crabs were reheated ..meat doesn't pull out and is stuck onto shell. Crab cake go glover no tatar, mayo lettuce or tomato. Fries seasoned well and hot. Skip the veg spring rolls. If your going for crabs don't go and try Floyd crabs and pub just over Howard county line. Bathroom clean Place is ok other better choices for crab lovers, thhier size good but no flavor. Service good.
I gave three stars because the staff was friendly and attentive. This is a sit down restaurant but the food came out in paper plates. It's basically fast food quality, if that. The restaurant also had an odd sewer smell. We were very disappointed. We were excited for a nice seafood place to open in Olney, but this missed the mark. We make better seafood at home so we won't be back.
We have had XL Crabs - Take Out 2 times this summer and they were really big and tasty crabs - not a bad one in the bunch! Hope our luck continues!!
I'm just happy they are in the area, I only had soup today, not a lot of Crab Meat but tasty. I'll add more on the Crabs soon.
