Great sport to eat in the heart of Olney. Goof food and drinks paired with good service. Can get pretty crowded sometimes, but it is a great place to eat with a larger-sized group of people. Food was tasty and it was a good vibe inside of the restaurant. Definitely reccommend stopping in if you havent already.

I went to Olney Grille thinking I would get a decent dinner. Boy was I wrong! I ordered the Thai ribs and the New York sandwich with Old Bay fries and asked that the sandwich be grilled well. The ribs tasted weird and were VERY soft and full of gristle. I guess they just braise them in the oven. The sandwich was NOT grilled well and was tasteless and had very little cheese and meat on it! The fries had NO Old Bay on them. I brought the sandwich home, added more cheese, some sauerkraut, and grilled it myself. That did make it better but I should have stopped at the store and bought some corned beef since there was barely any corned beef on the sandwich. Going to dinner was a waste of time and money on my part. 🙄🙄🙄

We went to Olney Grille after seeing that it was Trip Advisor’s #1 rated restaurant in Olney… but what a mistake. Apart from a fresh homemade $7.50 Gazpacho, everything else was a big disappointment. The Turkey Reuben was made with sliced turkey lunch meat instead of chunky fresh turkey breast. But the biggest disappointment of all was the $25 Seafood Salad… greens and rotini pasta topped with scallops, shrimp, and lump crabmeat. The seafood was not very fresh, and was neither marinated nor dressed, thus stale and flavorless. The rotini was overcooked, and whatever dressing was used on the greens was so characterless as to be undetectable. I had to request a shaker of Old Bay seasoning to make this even halfway edible. There must be a lot of retirement homes in Olney, as almost everyone in the restaurant was over 80… but that is no reason to serve bland food; seniors have taste buds, too! When I found out that the Strawberry Shortcake was not made in-house, I decided to give it a miss (which I should have done with the Seafood Salad), and made my way across the strip mall to the Royal Bagel Bakery for a house-made sweet. Olney Grille, apart from making me part with too much of my money, you were a forgettable foray into the land of bland.

His quote was "well I just put a couple on the plate." I told them I wasn't paying $16 something that wasn't even close to what they had on their menu. He took them away and nobody made any effort to make things right. I would have spent a lot more money, but not after that. I have been coming to this place since 1988, doubtful I will return for a long while. Don't advertise 1 lb on your menu and than pull this crap.
