Not at good day for Panera Town Center or me! I placed an online order for a Classic Miche loaf. Thick Sliced. I needed this cut for a recipe. When I picked up my bread - I ordered at the counter a pick-two with Fuji Chicken Apple salad - to go. I left without checking either order. What a mistake. I am at home getting ready to eat my Fuji Chicken salad - no apple chips. The chips make the salad. No chips - no salad. :-( I need to go back to the store for my chips. Then I look at the bread - it's thin sliced. That cut will not work. Now back to the Panera, I learn from the counter staff that they are/have been out of apple chips. Why wasn't I informed when I ordered? They nicely refunded my money. What a waste of my time and my lunch hour. The bread - I received a new loaf - thick sliced but it was not something a customer should have been given. The top was ripped on one side and smashed on the other side. Really - you are serving me this loaf of bread?? I got a funny look from the staff when I commented about the bread. It should be a joy to spend my money. Not today. I cut my losses and left with the deformed bread. The Olney Panera needs to do better.

Staff are very courteous and kind and do their best, however, the cappuccino and specially the croissant that I ordered were disappointing. Cappuccino was ok, tasted like milk and water more than coffee and milk. The croissant was really stale, not well baked inside as well. I was having higher hopes for baked goods from Panera being known as a bakery.

Why have a pickup shelf if they're going to hold your food. I waited for 30 minutes and my food never showed. Long lines and not feasible to quickly ask someone about an order. Eventually after standing in the long line was told to get into another line for order pickup...not friendly or apologetic about it either. Just wow.
I thought we would give it a try today but there was no air-conditioning on a 90+ degree day. We left. No sign at the door.

Customer service wasn't to the level I expect from Panera. Associate tried telling me I was wrong about my order. I ordered a sandwich and he insisted a 'Modern Caprese' was a salad... Moments later he reluctantly corrected my order. It doesn't take much effort to admit you’re wrong and apologize, don't make your customers feel incompetent.

I live in Olney and am a regular customer because I love the sip club, plentiful outlets for computer work, and generally good food. It's painful to write this review, but I find this Panera to have 2 major issues. First, while some of the staff are extremely pleasant, many of them are inattentive to the customers and their system of fulfilling orders is always confusing. Why is my drink never with my food and I have to ask someone? Second, one of the managers consistently curses when talking about his own employees to the other employees, and this can be heard easily in the main eating area. Completely unprofessional!
