I have eaten at Salt and Vine a few times while visiting family in the area. Most recently, we had a baby shower at the restaurant. The event coordinator, Denise, was very helpful ensuring we had everything the way we wanted it prior to the event. On the day of the event, the room was set up perfectly, the food was excellent and timed so that we could all enjoy talking without feeling rushed, and the servers were not only very attentive, but also personable. Most importantly, my son and daughter-in-law were very pleased as well. The comments from the guests that attended were very positive. I highly recommend this restaurant, whether it’s for dinner or a special event. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent brunch experience. Food was delicious. Bottomless mimosas and espresso martinis were great. Our server, Aiden, was very personable, efficient, and attentive. Will definitely return very soon.

Love this place! One of our fave regular stops in Olney. Food is always delicious and on point, especially the seasonal specials and HH menu. Servers, managers, and bartenders are always friendly and helpful. We see Phil, Ty, and Zac at the bar regularly and are always well taken care of. Absolutely recommend.

Decided to try a new restaurant for my birthday. My husband is Italian so we opted for Italian food. Things I loved for my visit:

1. Reservations were booked. We were seated immediately.
2. We were asked if we were celebrating anything and if this was our first visit. Free champagne was sent to us.
3. Service was not an issue during our visit.

Things I’m still trying to process:

1. Our bill was over $200 after tip and it was just me and my husband. So let me tell you right now, everything except the water is À la carte.

We ordered two cocktails my Sangria was so bitter which is a first, I asked the waiter to bring me simple syrup. It didn’t dawn on her that here I was trying to fix my $15 drink which didn’t taste good. She eventually said “Does it taste better now?” When she should have said “Is your drink okay?” I didn’t like my husband’s drink either but we were not going to waste $30.

So, let me tell you right now, they charge for a bread basket. As Italian we love our bread, and given how expensive it was why is bread not free? You could offer one free basket with additional for $5, or just offer it.

2. We ordered the Arancini appetizer for $15.00. They literally are charging $5.00 for each one. It’s actually the cheapest starter on the menu. It was lacking flavor in the breading. It was hot though. Fried perfectly but not seasoned very well.

3. I ordered the 1/2 rack of lamb for $42. The roasted wild mushrooms for the side. The shrooms were AMAZING. Seasoned with flavor. The lamb had minimal flavor. The side of sauce was served in a doll playhouse pitcher.

4. My husband ordered the steak for $68.00. Requested medium rare, steak was cooked correctly but what happened to the flavor? The sear was beautiful but no seasoning at all. I ended up adding my shrooms on his steak for flavor. He got the fingerling potatoes which were Amazing.

So from both meals, the main courses were bland but the sides were seasoned.

5. For my birthday we got the 3 Crispy Cannoli for $12.00. Crispy? Nope, chewy like it was in the fridge not made fresh. How on earth do you mess up a cannoli?

I knew we should have went to CAVA because I really wanted food with flavor, but I love trying new places too.

Also, I don’t know what it was but it’s loud upstairs. All night we can hear everything so if you’re sensitive to loud noises, you will suffer with the upstairs noise.

I really should have read the reviews. I would have not came here.

I’m still asking myself why do they charge for bread?!

Unless you have money to waste…go somewhere else.
