Amazing new atmosphere, friendly staff, especially Josie! She knew her menu and what was a good pairing! Andrew the manager recommended an excellent wine as a sommelier! Will be back many times!

Allow me to start by saying that the food was very good. NOW...I made a 5:45 reservation in order to get to the Olney Theatre (5 min. away) by 7:20. We were seated right away. I ordered a glass of wine which arrived promptly. My wife & I ordered entrees. We became the invisible table as we barely got to the 7:30 show on time. One hour and forty minutes to receive and eat 2 entrees!! We did not have appetizers and had to skip dessert! My wife had the stuffed chicken breast, which she very much enjoyed. I had the Lobster Pappardelle which was good, but the pasta and lobster was in a bowl of bisque. I never had a spoon. Since time was not in our side I had to leave a bowl of bisque untouched. Ambience: loud. Not a fan of the decor. Tables are reminiscent of business cafeteria tables. Lights made me feel like I was in a garage. I would need someone to take me in order to return.

Came here randomly on a Friday since one of my friends wanted to try it and I was blown away. Did not have a reservation but I was lucky enough to find a seat at the bar. (It gets busy so book a reservation in advance). The restaurant is inside a house so you are separated in small groups in each room, which I really enjoyed. First thing I ordered was the expresso martini, and it was one of the best expresso martinis I had. Our bartender Ron was a joy. He was awesome and made our visit 10xs better. He recommended all the best dishes, and was very patient with us while we were ordering. The whole staff was super friendly. The food was just amazing as service. Started off with some meatballs, tuna bites, and wood fired oysters. I did not take pictures unfortunately since I was hungry and dug in immediately. The meatballs were amazing and would recommend anyone to order those if visiting. They come with 3 meatballs so heads up. Personally I'm not a seafood person but I did enjoy the tuna bites. For the main course ordered the house pizza, the Penne alla vodka pasta, and the bolognese pasta. Personally those were all amazing and I couldn't tell you which one I enjoyed most. You can't go wrong with any of those, and order all of them if you can because they were all delicious. Safe to say that I will be back, and will be back to try the steak and other dishes that are offered.

Max and Cruz provided some of the best service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. They constantly asked if everything was okay or even just made small talk to make sure I was having a good time. The food was amazing but came second to the service these both bartenders provided. Don’t even get me started on their wonderful aprons they both had on.

Have been here many times and went with family yesterday for a little Easter fun. We had a mix up in times but it was quickly addressed by Andrew! Thank you so much Faith and Andrew for adding to our family outing! We had a great time, food was wonderful and service an A plus.

We took a chance without a reservation and scored seating in the bar area. Service was pretty good and drinks and food came out promptly. We ordered the calamari, grilled shrimp, grilled scallops, asparagus, and the mushroom risotto. Everything was very good except the calamari-which tasted oily and not fresh but everything else was really good. The noise level is a bit high but not too bad. A great meal overall and we will definitely be back.

We love this place. I made reservations to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were always greeted with a smile and provided friendly service. Our waitress Faith was outstanding. She was welcoming, warm, and friendly. She was attentive and knowledgeable. Just a great all around person and a credit to Salt & Vine. When we come again, we will request Faith. From reception desk, to the bar, to our table, service was top notch. We will recommend this restaurant to everyone we know.

I have eaten at Salt & Vine a handful of times and am super happy that we have it here in Olney- it has become outstanding. The food is consistently excellent and the service is fantastic. (The first time I ever ate there it was brand new and - as so often with new spots - the service was shaky. Every time since it has been notably great… so please try it again if you were underwhelmed in those first weeks!) As I said- it’s an outstanding dining experience!FOOD: Last night we shared the burrata appetizer, then had the shrimp, the beet salad, and the carpaccio as our 3 dinners. Everything we ate wasn’t just great but was the kind of amazing that you can’t stop talking about it, and the presentations were gorgeous. The carpaccio absolutely melted in my mouth. We shared 3 scoops of gelato for dessert - it was creamy & delicious. The menu itself has a good variety and some rare and special touches (like carpaccio). 5 stars.SERVICE: I waitressed all through my 20s and one of my sons is a waiter (elsewhere) so I like to think that I can recognize and appreciate service that goes above and beyond. You are greeted with a smile when you walk in the door and taken immediately to your table; the hostess last night was very professional. Our server was Idris- he was warm and friendly and accommodating. He did a light suggestive sell on a cocktail but was in no way pushy. He answered questions, gave opinions, and was happy to make adjustments (eg I asked for no capers). The food was exactly as ordered and served promptly. He checked in with us several times but never rushed us. Great job. We also were visited by a manager checking in- a touch I always like. 5 stars. The atmosphere is a bit crowded - though not like Bethesda-crowded. We were nowhere near elbow to elbow with other diners. I did have to keep scooting my chair forward for people to get behind me. I believe they are limited in what they can do inside because it’s an historic building. I look forward to the patios reopening when it’s warm enough! 4.5 stars.BOTTOM LINE: Amazing food, attentive service, a beautiful building- all right here in Olney. A+

Annie was an awesome waitress! Great personality and very attentive! The short rib pasta was outstanding! The pizza was not as great as the old Riciutti’s restaurant pizza, but still pretty good.
