Amazing atmosphere, delicious food!! The young man who greeted us was very pleasant and professional. Our server, Mary... Loved her! Crab Cake Egg rolls and Soft Shell Crab were wonderful, Spiced Pear Martini...spot on. Everything was superb. Traveled a little under 2 hours to the area, came upon this wonderful place. Will definitely take a trip again just to come here!!! So worth it!!

We came for a small birthday dinner. Service was outstanding. I ordered the cod fish cakes, they were fried to perfection however the inside was gummy and underwhelming. I also ordered the cream of crab soup which was extremely rich and was a little light on the seasoning. After several bites I could not eat anymore.... Otherwise it was a great experience!!

Food had no seasoning, food tasted like it was rushed and not made with much love. I had the pan seared scallops and the mushroom sauce under the scallops was unedible, chicken & shrimp Alfredo had a pound of shredded cheese on top but not much Alfredo sauce! I ordered the seafood pot pie to go and they gave me a small piece of dry crust separate from the filling of the pot pie. Nothing had seasoning. The bartender was very nice and he made me a great drink! He saw how unhappy I was and he went to get the manager to talk to me but nobody never came! I will not be coming back. It’s very sad because I grew up going to the canton location and their food was always delicious.

First of all in my research I didn't know you needed a reservation. It was our first time here and when entering the building you could feel the nice atmosphere. They greeted you warmly and with smiling faces. We were seated quickly and our server Aliana was the best. She was on point with everything great job. She made our experience an amazing one. The music and decor was awesome and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who hasn't been here. I shall be back soon keep up the good work. I had the steak, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The steak was so good and juicy I didn't need any steak sauce. Again I was totally satisfied. My lady had the Salmon and rice she was very satisfied with her meal loved it .

Parking: As far as parking it's not bad because you are actually at a mall type location. So you might not be able to park right next to the establishment but you won't have to walk far

The crab cake egg rolls were worth the price but nothing else was. The salad was mediocre. My old fashioned was down right terrible and I was told by management that I could not exchange my drink. Service was just okay. Beware they add 18%gratuity to all bills. The food/service/drinks combined were not worth the money. Will not be returning.

It was a group of six. Spirited drinks were not good at all. Food for 4 was decent but unflavored, while the other 2 entrees were cold and had to go back to be reheated. Server was slow, but no need to do different when 18% tip is already guaranteed, right? The experience was just okay. For the money spent here, it should’ve been more memorable. I’ll pass on returning.

**UPDATE ** The manager who was awful is no longer there so I gave Mama’s another shot! I am changing my 1 star to a 5 star for this location! Jessie the new manager is awesome! Ray at the bar is the best (ask for a Ray Rita you will love it) food was excellent! I had no complaints … it’s amazing how having the right team makes such a big difference! I now love Mama’s and will be back often thanks for listening to your customers!!!!!!

( my Old 1 star review ) service was not good. Our waitress was nice just overwhelmed …I do understand that this location is new and the staff still needs training. Mistakes are understood and expected however the manger Ricky provided sub par customer service. Multiple mistakes were made during my visit. Drinks were wrong food was under cooked. I did not like and did not eat my meal and he was not accommodating. Our meal was delivered without utensils my salad did not have dressing and no one came by to check on us so we sat for about 15 mins and could not eat. I literally had to walk through the restaurant to find my server to beg for salad dressing and a fork. I voiced my concerns to the manger Ricky who was very combative and made excuses for the lack of services that we deserved as patrons. I even mentioned that I would not have received this kind of service at Ruth Chris and his reply was then you can go to Ruth Chris!!!! Wow! At that point I walked away and let my boyfriend handle the situation. I love Mama’s and was so excited to have them in Owings mills I do hope that they can fix their service challenges because the food when prepared right is pretty good. Management and staff need training in customer service or this location will experience the same demise as Bar Louie

Nice gem in Owings Mills. The servers and host were very energetic and friendly. Our food was delicious. The food arrived in a timely manner. The decor was beautiful. Very happy we chose to dine here. We will definitely be back!

We had the opportunity of dining at the Owings Mills site with a visitor from london. We thought that this would be an amazing opportunity for her to get Maryland seafood and one of the finest restaurants for seafood. We started off with the the soups and fried oysters. Unfortunately out of the six or so fried oysters only three of them were not spoiled. The soups were curdled unfortunately so it had a very thin cottage cheese texture which I've never experienced here in Maryland with cream-based seafood soups. She ordered a crab cake and shrimp salad and bacon sandwich with fries. The fries were cold and she took one bite of the sandwich and wasn't happy with it on any level. We did not even try it because when we looked at the cut piece we can certainly say that is not a crab cake that is Maryland strong. We were informed that management does not give refunds once it hits the table. Not the type of policy that I've ever experienced, but I don't think that this is Management's fault they have to use a great amount of discretion because I'm assuming that because the meals are expensive you may have people who are purchasing and eating a half or more and then returning it because they want their full refund. This unfortunately was not the case even the french fries nor the bacon on the sandwich were properly cooked and were freezing cold when they reach the table. None of us were satisfied with our food but we only had one item to return and that is our friend from London's. I was so pleased that after speaking with Troy, the Manager, he refunded her meal at minimal we did not ask for any refunds on the other food because we basically ate it and it would be unfair to ask. We had a bill for four people over $100 even with her meal refunded. She loved her drink as did sll of us. One person didn't eat they only had appetizers. Marie/y was new and just started but she was really nice and pleasant so I give the three stars purely on the customer service unfortunately I was really let down. I was so excited about having oysters closer to Owings Mills rather than having to go to Reisterstown to Reters or Oceanaire downtown. By the way I'm not sure if Troy is married but he certainly is a looker he is definitely a sight for sore eyes. At least that is what our l9ndoner thought LOL

My family and I went to Mama’s on the half shell for my mother’s birthday. The interior and atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. The customer service was absolutely fantastic. The cocktails and brussels sprouts were to die for. However, we were less than pleased with our meals. Some of the food came out cold, most lacked flavor, the lamb chops were overcooked, and the seafood (lobster and crabmeat) was extremely salty. Truly overpriced for what we received. Again, it truly is a nice venue but could use some work in the food department.
