Had lunch here on a beautiful end of summer/ beginning of fall day. My fish tacos were delicious, and my companion's burger was excellent too. It was nice sitting out and looking at the water, but shaded from the sun. I loved the decor of the indoor dining room - very nautical! Great service as well.

Nice atmosphere, view, drinks, and service. The only bad part was a mandarin salad I ordered. It was not worth $16 as it was small and lacked a nice variety of greens and other ingredients.

We went to capsize in Oxford MD to eat lunch. Right off the bat, the view and atmosphere were insanely pleasant. Our waitress went above and beyond, and we were extremely satisfied with the service we got. I would give the food 4 out 5. The food was definitely good but it can be better. Make sure to get a key lime pie there too. Overall definitely recommend

The food is amazing and the service is just as good as the food (if that’s even possible)! The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. I am really sad I didn’t come here before the end of summer- If we had known how great the menu was we would have been here so many times!!!!!!!! Try shrimp tacos ? ?

The restaurant boasts a stunning view and delicious food, but the service left much to be desired. After someone else brought out my meal, my server didn’t check on me at all—she was too engrossed in sharing a long-winded personal story with the neighboring table about her unsuccessful relationship with someone she met in ***, who then went to her college and now resides in ***. It wasn’t until 45 minutes later, when I was ready to leave, that she finally asked if I needed anything. The lack of attention really detracted from what could have been a great dining experience.

Got to the restaurant about 6:45 PM. Ordered maybe 5 minutes after arriving. Almost an hour later, the chicken salad wrap was mostly tortilla, $5 extra "side salad" was a handful of lettuce on a bread plate, reuben was soggy with the wrong side, the hot dog from the kids menu very obviously sat under a heat lamp, and our server never once asked if we needed refills on drinks. Now I understand why this place was so empty on a summer Friday night!
Do yourself a favor & don't go.

All and all, I wasn’t extremely impressed. Id give it a 3.5/5 if I could. It didn’t help the fact that there was an extremely loud group of people behind us while dining, but the service needs improvement. The main issue was the service I found. No waiters walk through the main seating area from what I say aware of customers at tables regardless of if it’s theirs or not. I was missing an item for my meal and it took until I was done eating to be able to flag someone down. In the end, I didn’t even need it really. We ordered appetizers and 4 entrees, and the timing for these was not great. Appetizers came out, as we just started nibbling the entrees arrived and it was overload. Food was alright, portions were big but nothing special. For a day in Oxford, it was good, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

Such a massive disappointment! We used to love this place so much for views and food, and happily drove the two hours from Baltimore to get here. Last night we had the worst food of our lives, and now I am sick as a dog today. We will NOT be back!
My son ordered calamari…MOST of the plate was cut and fried jalapeño instead of actual calamari. He also had a “baseball” steak that was 60% grissel. I ordered a mandarin salad that had warm and mealy mandarin and dressing that had turned. My $32 lobster roll had almost no lobster. My husband ordered the brussel sprouts, and got mostly brussel stalks instead of sprouts.
The only bright spots were the views and our sweet waitress. Do not waste your money!

This is added to the list of my favorite places. I was searching for a decent waterfront dining and this place was RIGHT ON THE SPOT! Food was EXCELLENT, drinks were ON POINT (their margarita game is strong) and their staff were warm and welcoming. A gem at Oxford,

Was on a multi-day trip/celebration and Capsize was recommended. Overall it was a good experience. The location is spectacular. There is a beautiful view of the water all around from the inside. There is also an outside dining area and bar. I don't drink in general but it appeared to be a hopping place. It was also super hot out so we opted for inside.
The inside wasn't crowded but it was a bit loud with just a couple of larger families dining. No fault to the restaurant or famies, mostly just acoustics.
The wait staff was pleasant and our waitress was also friendly and engaged while present. The place wasn't super busy but there were a couple of times when our water glasses were waiting a while to be refilled. I'll chalk that up to distraction.
I ordered the crab cake. It was pretty good but not the best I've had. Def some lump meat but also clearly a good amount of filler. Taste was good. Paired with fries. And again water because no sweet iced tea. I really don't get MD restaurants hating on sweet iced tea. Ok, rant over.
Wife got fish and chips. She liked it.
Overall good. If you're in the area, check it out. Again, spectacular view, decent food and pleasant wait staff.

This is a good restaurant with great views of the water, from inside or outside seating. The food and service was good, but not great. I got the fish and chips. The fish was really amazing, the fries were just okay- basic shoestring fries. The waitress only came by a couple of times to check on us and refill drinks. Otherwise, service was fine. The floors inside are noticeably slanted. The water views are great, and I would return but try something with no fries.
