We went there with friends the other evening for dinner. Three of us had the baked oysters and one person had the salmon. The wine was very good but we were disappointed with the baked oysters. They were served over pasta with some marinara sauce which was kind of flat. There were only 2 oysters on the entree. Very disappointing. It appeared to be more pasta than oysters. The salmon was rather dry also. The service was very good and everyone was friendly and attentive.
I’ve had a lovely dinner here but also an amazing bridal shower. We loved it so much we asked Leigh and team to do a brunch for 100 at my parents house the day after the wedding. Both events were home runs.Looking forward to returning to the restaurant and will be sure to use Latitude for future event and catering needs.
Took a chance and 4 of us had dinner... LUCKY WINNERS! The food was excellent and would rival any 5 star restaurant. We each had different entrees and everyone was delicious. The staff is knowledgeable and very accommodating. The fish was perfectly cooked and the veggies were fresh and colorful. Plenty of cocktail options too. Unfortunately we live hours away fro Latitude 38 or we would go often.
Had a nice dinner with friends. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent.
We contacted Latitude 38 after hearing how good it was. We wanted to have them cater dinner for our group of sailors who were visiting Oxford by boat. I asked if they could recreate the iconic grilled chicken that i remembered from driving through the MD Eastern Shore on my way to Ocean City MD from DC. Every volunteer Fire Department along the way would grill huge racks of chicken that produced a delicious fragrance that tempted drivers from mile away. The restaurant was a bit too long a walk from our marina but they said they would be happy to deliver.Right on time they delivered a superb meal with perfectly grilled chicken, potato salad, fresh corn and tomato salad and corn bread. So easy to work with. It was a great experience! I highly recommend Latitude 38!
Loved it so much we were going to go back the next night, but it’s closed on Sunday. Their theme was “figs”. We had fig fizz for drinks - puréed fig with gin and seltzer - fantastic. Then flatbread with fig jam, fresh mozzarella, arugula and balsamic for an appetizer, and fig ice cream for dessert. Our entree was shrimp and grits (no figs here) , but it was excellent. Every restaurant has its own version of this classic and I’m determined to try them all. Loved this one. This is a little off the beaten path and may be more for the locals than tourists, but don’t miss it.
Fabulous food, drinks, and friendly staff. Very welcoming owners, Chris and Leigh! As a transient boater staying at Safe Harbor Oxford, Leigh provided transportation to and from restaurant and we're so happy we tried this gem! Had locally sourced filet mignon and a no filler MD crabcake - both were so delicious and we look forward to our next visit. This is a year round restaurant with both indoors and outside seating. Just lovely.
We loved the special cocktails. The calamari was perfectly cooked. The crab cakes and shrimp & grits were among the best we have ever had. And those sundaes! Fabulous. And it was great to meet the new owner (and her parents). Can’t wait to come back many times!
I should have known better. We were staying in Oxford and wanted a restaurant at which we could dine outdoors, enjoy seafood, and keep the car parked where it was. So we called for a reservation three days ago and asked for a seven o'clock arrival. We were told that we could not have that time, but six forty-five would be okay. We accepted. On arrival, our wait person had no knowledge of the beer and wine selections available (in fact, she seemed not to be of drinking age herself), and wasn't too good with the menu, either. We eventually inherited a somewhat more experienced wait person and each of us ordered a grilled salmon dish. Well, let me tell you that the grilled salmon and wilted greens came to us as deep fried salmon with deep fried kale, oozing grease and oil like an old car. My companion busied herself squeezing the oil out of each bite, and I was amazed that a slice of salmon filet could be so mummified after a hot oil bath. The bill with tip came to over one hundred dollars.....a breath-taking waste of money for two people who do not mind spending a few extra dollars for truly good food. If you like your food hard, dried out, and loaded with grease, served up by a group of children, then this place is right up your alley. But, if you take a more reasonable and mature view of your dining experiences, then DO NOT ENTER these premises.
I had the best server in the entire nation at this establishment. However, I have proved nothing , but lies, and decapitation, because I have not written a review as promised and now his name escapes me. So, I leave you with this. This restaurant changes my life for the better please attend. Thanks

Good food and friendly staff. Stop in if you are in Oxford. Won’t be disappointed
Our party of six enjoyed a fabulous dinner outside on the patio! We especially recommend the shrimp and grits, steak entree, dinner salads, and homemade pie. Excellent service, too!
Love Latitude 38 Bistro. A terrific Oxford landmark eatery and tavern.
We anticipated a better experience at Latitude 38. While our dinners were very tasty, our first choices of drinks, wine, appetizer and mains were not available evidently because the restaurant was using up stock in lieu of an upcoming sale. On our next trip, we would like to eat here assuming up-to-date good reviews had been posted.
Best fried oysters, plump and not greasy. Almost no filler in crabcakes. Attentive service
