Steak, octopus, and seafood/ sauce was fabulous but pasta was overcooked. Service was excellent.

I never leave reviews but our experience was so good, it's totally needed. Everything about our experience was awesome. The food, service, and atmosphere was one of the best dining experiences I had in a long time. I wish I could remember the name of our server because he was exceptional. There were 4 people in our party, we travel a lot for work, and all of us said we will definitely come back next time we're in the area.

On a positive note my husband said his seafood risotto was very good and he would order it again. My surf and turf was less appealing. The temperature of the fillet was fine. The sear on the steak was too hard and the inside was dry. I also was not a fan of the sauce that was on the steak. The crabcake was mediocre and broiled too hard on the bottom. That was a disappointing dish at best. For a “high end restaurant” that particular dish needs improvement. I'm unsure whether I would return or recommend.

Bond 45 is a very nice, traditional style steakhouse and restaurant. The wait staff is phenomenal, and the food was very good. I ordered the ribeye medium rare, and it was cooked very well. My preference is the bone-in, which I did not order. Lots of great items on their robust, but not overwhelming, menu.

Food was slightly elevated Olivia Garden. It was not good at all. We were extremely rushed. I was still eating my salad and the waiter took my plate.

We came to Washington DC for the Marines Marathon and Bond 45 Italian was located in a convenient waterfront location by the Gaylord Convention Center. It’s a beautiful restaurant inside and out. The ambience with music and lighting is lovely. Someone has done a great job with that. However that’s where the positive kudos stops. We came in and waited 10 minutes at the empty hostess stand. We noticed several tables that were open, yet the hostess quoted us 45 minutes to 1 hour. There were two seats at the bar together, and one seat in the center of the bar. We separated and planned on waiting for our table. I ordered the lavender lemon drop, and I took advantage of the hook underneath the bar to hang my small black purse. After a few minutes, a third seat became available at the bar, so I moved over to where my other two friends were. We perused the menu and decided to try the burrata and prosciutto appetizer. The burrata was sitting on one slice of tomato and the arugula was tossed in a vinaigrette. There was a ton of prosciutto, thickly sliced. It had a very nice presentation, but it needed a little something more like balsamic drizzle or a fig jam to give it the sweetness it needed to bring it all together. The prosciutto lacked flavor. For as big as the portion was, I would’ve taken half for a more tender thinner sliced prosciutto. Next, we ordered the lobster ravioli, the chicken Parmesan, and the fettuccine Alfredo with added shrimp. The chicken Parmesan was big enough to feed all three of us, but the taste was very premade and frozen and most definitely not done in House. It’s warmed up and frozen from the food distributor, that is very easy to tell. The fettuccine was so soft that most of the pieces weren’t more than 2 inches long water logged and broken, completely over overcooked, it was just terrible. The shrimp were boiled and placed in the dish rather than grilled to give it some texture. I did not try the lobster ravioli because I am not a fan of it, but half of it was left on the plate if that’s telling you anything. I would say it is a step below Olive Garden at a higher price point. Now, what really gets under my skin… We left the restaurant carrying three bags for the run of supplies. As I arrived at my hotel in Pentagon city, I realized that I had left my purse on the bar hook from when I first arrived and was waiting for a table. I called the restaurant and after a few phone prompts was connected to a live person. I explained the situation and asked if they could look for my purse at the bar, in the center that was on a hook. As I waited, I noticed the phone call had dropped. Again, I called back and after a few minutes, and got through to the same live person. She called down to the bar as I waited on hold. She came back on the line and told me that the bartender said that it wasn’t there. I tend to be a trusting person and just did not believe that someone had stolen the purse. So I jumped in my Uber and went back 25 minutes drive to the restaurant. As soon as I got there, I walked back to where my original bar seat was and sure enough, the purse was clearly there. This to me is terrible customer service because it literally would have taken 30 seconds to walk from one side of the bar to the other to see if my purse was hanging on a hook, giving me a peace of mind. I asked the female bartender and she just shrugged it off like “I don’t know.” Thankfully I Went back to the restaurant because it would have never gotten turned in by this staff. For all of these reasons, I would not choose nor recommend this restaurant. It’s subpar food with premade ingredients, sauce, pasta, and absolutely nothing unique or fresh. They put a lot of money into this this place, so my suggestion would be to revamp the entire thing so the food matches the quality of the building.

Bond 45 is our very favorite place to visit when we’re in National Harbor. The menu is what first led us there last fall, but the staff and the atmosphere are the top reason we keep going back. We love John, Sierra, Anna, Tiara (forgive us for spelling!) and Josh. They are the absolute best, and Bond 45 feels like home because of them. Filet is fantastic and the cocktails and desserts are second to none!

Solid bar with great bartenders who were sociable and then knew when to leave you alone for a call.

Dinner was arrive, steak cooked to perfection, so was the lamb chops; desserts were melt in your mouth delicious and staff was very friendly. Definitely will be back the next time I'm there National Harbor!
